We had the good fortune of connecting with Brie DeLisi Zoller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I initially didn’t plan on starting a business, I just wanted to help others start their own impact-driven businesses. I spent a lot of time meeting with folks who had fun new ideas and volunteered my time to support them. Six months into supporting others in really inspiring spaces, I had a realization that this could be a career…. an incredibly gratifying and fulfilling career to help people follow their purpose and make an impact in the world.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Brie Z Operations sparked to life when I realized that purpose-driven small business owners often don’t know how to create processes or foundations for their business.

Or, they simply don’t have the time or capacity to execute on the processes they want. There were so many brilliant ideas and organizations in the world that needed support that was affordable, effective, and timely. So Brie Z Operations was started to support purpose-driven businesses with their expert consulting, strategy planning, process development, implementation, execution, and community building. I’m so proud to support businesses who are make a real difference in the world, from developing emotional intelligence to sustainability consulting.

Initially it was difficult to align with my ‘niche’ of impact-driven businesses, I thought I had to take any work that came my way – which resulted in less-than-satisfying engagements on both sides. When I decided to fully commit to my mission, business came through to match! I learned to listen to my gut and to get over my fears of sales and self-promotion – I learned that I’m allowed to show up as myself instead of who I think I ‘should’ be, and it turns out that resonates with business owners!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
– Red Rocks Amphitheater and Trading Post hike, Rooftop Tavern for food and ice cream at Ozzi’s – St. Mary’s Glacier hike and packed lunch, dinner at Coopers on the Creek

– Fly fishing or a hike down in Deckers, followed by dinner on the smoker at my house – probably elk

– Pick up cuban pastries at Cuba Cafe and Bakery (walking distance from my house), then chill day with a walk through Cherry Creek State Park, then dinner in RiNo (literally take your pick of restaurants)

– Golden Gate Canyon State Park with a hike to Panorama Point, Tacos El Metate for dinner (walking distance from my house)

– Hopefully see a show at Red Rocks!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
