Meet Brie Foresman | Marketing Lead

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brie Foresman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brie, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, it’s the people. Both personally and professionally, the people in my life and the people we work with are the driving force behind our success. We’ve got an amazing community of folks who believe in what we’re doing at RiseKit. It’s not just about the tech – it’s about working together to create opportunities and support each other. Technology just helps scale and automate but at the end of the day people need people. We’ve got employers who are eager to find great talent, training providers who are passionate about skill-building, and community organizations that are dedicated to helping people overcome barriers and get the support they need. That collaborative spirit is what makes RiseKit special. We’re all in this together, working towards a common goal of building a stronger, more connected workforce.
Just the other day, I heard about a woman who was connected with a great job at a local manufacturing company through one of our partner training programs. She had been struggling to find work after facing some challenges in her past, but with the right training and support, she was able to turn her life around. Now she’s thriving in her new role and contributing to her community. That’s the kind of story that makes me proud to be a part of RiseKit.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
RiseKit is all about connecting people with opportunities. We’re a software platform that helps individuals find jobs through training programs and support services. What sets us apart is our focus on community and collaboration. We bring together job seekers, training providers, and employers in a way that benefits everyone.
I’m most proud of the impact we’re making in people’s lives. We’ve helped countless individuals find training and job opportunities and build a better future for themselves and their families. That’s what gets me excited to come to work every day.
Getting to where we are today has been a journey, that’s for sure, and we are still learning! It definitely hasn’t been easy, but our team is dedicated to helping communities come together. I have to give a shout-out to our Founder, Matt Strauss, for bringing his vision to life and to Josh Glantz and Travis Centers for their leadership and guidance. We faced challenges like any startup. It’s not easy building a 3-sided marketplace! But we continue to persevere, learn from our mistakes, and keep our focus on our mission.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of resilience. There will always be setbacks and obstacles, but it’s how you respond to them that matters. It’s about having faith, staying focused on your goals, and never giving up.
I want the world to know that RiseKit is more than just a business. We’re a community of people who believe in the power of opportunity and the role community organizations play in ensuring everyone has the opportunity to succeed. And we’re just getting started!
If you’re passionate about connecting people with opportunities and building stronger workforce ecosystems, we’d love to connect with you. Visit our website www.risekit.co to learn more about how RiseKit can help your organization achieve its goals.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh, that’s easy! Colorado Springs is a blast, no matter the season. If it’s winter, we’d definitely be hitting the slopes for some snowboarding. Keystone and Vail are my go-to spots. When the snow melts, we’d lace up our hiking boots and explore some of the amazing trails around here. The Manitou Incline is a must-do for a real challenge, or maybe we’d head to Garden of the Gods or Red Rock Canyon for those incredible views.
And of course, no trip to Colorado Springs is complete without some brewery hopping! The craft beer scene here is out of this world. We’d have to hit up Phantom Canyon Brewing Company, Bristol Brewing Company, OCC Brewing, and Cerberus Brewing Company – just to name a few. And to soak up all those delicious brews, we’d grab some grub at local favorites like Skirted Heifer for juicy burgers, The Rabbit Hole for a unique underground dining experience, and Dos Santos for incredible tacos. Colorado Springs has something for everyone!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
For me, it starts with my family, especially my mom and my nana. They instilled in me a strong foundation of values and taught me the importance of perseverance and faith. They’ve been my constant cheerleaders, always believing in me, even when I doubted myself.
Beyond my family, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have amazing mentors who saw potential in me that I didn’t even see myself. They encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and explore new possibilities, which has been so important for my growth. I especially want to shout out Catherine Dunlop, my mentor and former boss at Network for Good, who guided me through a career transition from sales to marketing. She gave me the autonomy to explore my strengths further and helped me come into my own by finding opportunities where I could excel. And Rachel Ramjattan, whose mentorship always reminded me that life is about continuous learning and growth. Sadly, Rachel has since passed, but her positive outlook on life has always stuck with me. Her advice, “Once you stop learning, it’s time to find a new task,” has always kept me going.
Ultimately, I’m incredibly grateful to God for orchestrating these amazing relationships in my life. He has guided my path, opening and closing doors to lead me to where I am today. I see His hand in all the experiences and connections that have shaped me, and I trust in His plan for my future.
I truly believe it takes a village to shape a person, and I’m grateful for all the individuals who have influenced my life and helped me become who I am today. Each relationship has been a gift, and my faith has been my constant source of strength and guidance.
