We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Morman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooke, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
From a very young age I expressed interest in digital arts and the environment. When I was 10 years old I made my first YouTube channel, regularly uploading goofy content. I deleted it after I was bullied for it, and started a new one at age 12, with the same outcome. In high school I took a surplus of video communications classes, and even a college course that sent me to a film festival across the country. It wasn’t until after college I decided to try out TikTok, where I truly found my community.
With videos regularly going viral, I decided to use my content strategy to build a business. If I could consistently attract thousands of viewers, why wouldn’t I use this skill to help other businesses find success?
This is when I launched Brand with Brooke, a social media management service to help brands conquer the digital space

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started regularly creating videos on TikTok in the summer of 2024. Video diaries have always been a hobby of mine, but the fear of judgement has frequently stopped me from sharing my creativity with the world. I started with keeping my account a complete secret. It wasn’t until I started gaining momentum that I decided to share it with my friends and family.

I think what sets my content apart from others is my versatility. I refuse to pick a content niche because I do not like being placed in boxes. I want my content to appeal to a wide range of audiences, so I post videos about the things I love: travel, coffee, hiking, music, and great food. I have a ridiculous number of hobbies, crazy music taste, and a lot of emotions to share with the world. My favorite type of content to post is impromptu thoughts, which tend to be some of my most popular videos!

Some lessons I have learned on this journey are that in order to succeed, (unless you are extremely hot), you need to post selfless content- stuff that helps someone, validates an opinion, offers them a takeaway, etc. It is also critical to engage with your audience, posting alone is not enough. Surprisingly, it’s not easy posting everyday. Sometimes I dread posting, because it feels like a third job, but the satisfaction of putting hours into editing a video and receiving the credit for it is worth it.

I have helped my clients reach millions of new viewers, which I am extremely proud of. My biggest challenge right now is figuring out how to attract new clients. I often pitch my services to local businesses, but with a full-time job, it is difficult to discover brands who want to contract a Social Media Manager. I look forward to growing my business in 2025, and helping others create meaningful online communities!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I currently live in the Four Corners area, which I consider the hidden gem of Colorado. If my best friend was visiting we would have the following itinerary:
Firstly, we would visit Mesa Verde National Park. Hiking the Point Lookout Trail is a must, and then we head to the Cliff Palaces.
For dinner on night one, we will stop at Esmeralda’s Ranchito Mexican Grocery Store – for the freshest and tastiest tamales in the county. Guaranteed to be made with love!
Coffee places you absolutely cannot miss: the Silver Bean in Cortez. My favorite is the raspberry bomb iced latte, made with coconut milk. Equally as tasty is Kelly’s Kitchen in Dolores. Their specialty iced drinks taste like sunshine!
Thursday nights in Durango, there is Drag Trivia at Starlight Lounge. Voted the best drag queen in Colorado, Aria is always sure to make you laugh, blush, and immerse yourself into the LGBTQ community. This is truly one of my favorite events, and remember to tip your drag queens;)
If it is winter, we must shred some gnar at Purgatory Resort in Durango. A local favorite for skiing and snowboarding, Purg has a lot to offer with fresh powder.
If it is summer, we are hiking Madden Peak in Mancos. The wildflower fields and stunning 360 views from the top are unbeatable. You can see Shiprock, NM from the peak, as well as Mesa Verde, and the La Plata Mountains.
If you want the best margarita in the world, hit up Rio Cantina in Mancos. The perfect combo of tequila and lime is hard to find, but they are masters of this art.
Then, it is time to take a drive! We will drive up to Telluride, which is just under two hours away. Bonus points if the aspens are yellow, this is a drive you will NEVER forget. We will take the free ski gondola to the Mountain Village, admire the views, and then explore the town. Don’t miss the Telluride Free Box for the chance to score free gear, books, clothes, and skis!
The most fun and exciting things to check out in my area are definitely outdoor recreation opportunities: if running, biking, and hiking are your speed, this area is for you! I do not run or bike, but I love exploring the national forest, parks, and BLM land.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would not be where I am today without the help of my mentors. Even at my lowest, they encouraged me to take a chance, follow my dreams, and put in the work. I would like to thank my digital communications teacher Chuck Lewis for believing in me and teaching me everything I know about video and audio productions. Additionally, I owe everything to my professor, Karen Seaver, for inspiring me to bring positive change to this world. She guided me every step of the way through my undergraduate program, enlightening me on the impacts of kindness, science, and professionalism. I believe that we cannot find success without the knowledge and support that others give us, and I am super grateful to have so many meaningful connections!
