We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cameron, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was that I wanted to bring joy, happiness, and smiles to as many people as I can around the world. We all go through tough times, depression, and bad days I want my brand Always Smile to be a catalyst for people to see the positive in life, and have a friendly reminder to smile and help others do the same!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
This journey I have embarked on has not been easy. However, this process has made me grow up, learn, trust myself, and grind every single day. The biggest lesson I have learned is to be consistent, without consistency nothing will evolve. Of course, there have been days I wanted to give up but keep my focus strong, and pushing forward has made me a way better owner and person.

I want the world to know that my brand is here to be a friendly reminder to smile, it can be so easy to lose yourself in depression, sadness, or bad days. But it is so important to find the good in every day and help others smile!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Every time my best friend Isiah and I get together we always make it the best of times! We would go to our favorite wing spot Golden Flame Wings, play basketball, and tour the city on our razor scooters like we used to do when we were kids!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a huge shoutout to my old mentor Matt. I had the wonderful opportunity to do a Fellowship with a big digital media company in New York City. My mentor Matt was very patient with me, guided me to success, helped me evolve as a man, and become a better person inside and out. I can’t thank him enough for what he did for me, now apply everything I learned from him to my business!
