We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassandra Bush and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassandra, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am truly inspired by people who know who they are, know their Purpose, and continually put in the work to pursue it wholeheartedly. You can feel it – the energy and authenticity of a person who is in tune with themselves and done the deep dive of personal and spiritual growth and development. The one’s who have embraced their story of trials and triumphs to be where they are today.

They have a radiance about them, and draw you in with pure excitement and an unwavering confidence about themselves and the Work they are committed to, their way of life.

They leave you wanting to know more, and feeling inspired to take that first step towards improving your own life or aligning that much closer to your Purpose – to take the leap into the unknown.

They inspire the question, “What would your life look like if everything worked out perfectly?”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The stars aligned and Balanced Healing Salt + Sauna was born in 2020 amongst COVID-19.

Leading up to this point, I had been dealing with a variety of health concerns, to which the majority of my research pointed to infrared saunas. This started me down the path of building my own infrared sauna in my cabin on Casper Mountain. Then one day, the idea hit me – I wanted to (someday) open my own infrared sauna business, with its on private suites. A quick online search informed me that this wasn’t as unique of an idea as I was anticipating, but I told a friend anyway, who then connected me with my now business partner, Tina, who had recently mentioned having an interest in opening a Halotherapy business.

Long story short – we spoke in March, we loved the collaboration, and off we went.

Soon after, the perfect location opened up and we signed a lease. I called the infrared sauna provider and bought their last sauna in stock. Tina snagged a new halogenerator for the salt room, and by August 1st, we were open for business.

What sets us apart from other businesses who offer Infrared Sauna and Salt Therapy modalities is the knowledge, resources and tools we provide to our clients. It’s more than just self-care, it’s true healing of the mind, body and soul.

We educate on various mindfulness practices, such as meditation and breathwork, to help you get the most out of each session. We help you to slow down and understand the benefit of carving out intentional time for yourself. We offer a wide variety of health programs for you to choose from, which cater to specific needs such as detoxification, weight loss, pain relief, cardiovascular health, improved breathing, and so much more.

We listen to you and get to know you on a personal basis, and walk along side you as you heal your body + calm your mind on your personal journey towards optimal health through our holistic Salt Therapy and Infrared Sauna modalities.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This sounds like a ton of fun!

We would definitely start with brunch at Frackleton’s, the Brinton Museum, the Cowboy Cafe or Welcome Market Hall.

There are a ton of cute little shops downtown, so we would definitely walk Main Street and check out those – Urban Thrift, King’s Saddlery, Foot of the Big Horns, Best Out West Antiques, 45th Parallel, the Paint Post.

We would grab some groceries/snacks from Cross E Dairy and Freedom Stores, the Health Nut, the Good Health Market or the local farmers markets.

Dinner is totally on at Birch, Powder Horn Pizza, Little Kitchen, Pad Thai, Sapporo’s, or Las Delicias.

They would have to experience the Mint Bar, but would also grab beers from Luminous, Blacktooth and Smith Alley breweries.

For funzies, we could check out SAGE Community Arts and possibly an event at the WyoTheater. The breweries also frequently have live music so we would definitely check them out!

A quick little jaunt would get us up the mountain to hike some trails, mountain bike, kayak, fish, camp or anything else outdoorsy that tickled our fancies. There is also an incredible trails system through town and we could meander on, and even enjoy a little picnic in Kendrick Park.

And if we needed a little pick-me-up, we would stop at Andi’s Coffee or Java Moon for our coffee must have’s.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I often find myself overflowing with gratitude for the people I have met throughout my life. Life is so incredibly magical when you reflect on the significant encounters and connections that have led you to where you are in this very moment.

It’s a common saying, but it stands true – I would not be who or where I am today without my family, friends, acquaintances, and loved ones.

I would love to give a shoutout to my family (Roy, Deb and Dylan) for their unconditional love and support each and every day, my mentor, Jamie Purcell, for her unwavering passion and creative, outside-of-the-box ways of helping others, my business partner, Tina Nations, for taking the leap with me to start Balanced Healing Salt + Sauna and the ladies just down the hall from me at Maven Massage and Bodywork for their continued support, collaboration and inspiration to better myself and my business.
