Meet Cassie And Mallory Cassie Lopez And Mallory Kincaid | Founder (Cassie) and co-owner (Cassie and Mallory)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie And Mallory Cassie Lopez And Mallory Kincaid and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cassie and Mallory, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
In the beginning, balance wasn’t really the goal, building something that could at first match both of our teaching salaries was. We both worked full-time as teachers while launching this company, pouring every spare moment into it for three years. It was a season of hustle by design. In the spring of 2022, we took the leap and went full-time with the business, which brought another wave of hard work as we navigated the intense growth and inevitable challenges of scaling and growing a team. We are strong believers that hustle culture isn’t dead at the start of a business but the goal is always a slower life once the business has grown.
That season came with growing pains, but it also allowed us to build a larger, more capable team we could truly trust. Today, our work-life balance is much healthier. During our busy season, we intentionally take Sundays and Mondays off, limit emails to Tuesday through Thursday from 9–5, and keep Fridays and Saturdays open for events. Our team now handles the majority of our events—and often preps ingredients as well—which has been a game changer.
Looking ahead, we’re working toward bringing on a full-time bar manager to oversee emails and inquiries so we can focus on the next exciting chapter of our business journey. Balance for us now means building sustainability into our success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We run a mobile bar company based in Denver that specializes in garden to glass cocktails for private events. We mainly shake things up at weddings! Our commitment to creating an elevated, guest-forward experience with ingredients that are fresh, seasonal, and thoughtfully prepared definitely sets us apart. We’re not just a bar service, we offer an experience. One of my favorite quotes from a venue was “The Wandering Wagon always send REAL people who care”. We owe a lot of our reputation to our incredible team of bartenders!
We started this company while both working full-time as teachers. For three years, we balanced the demands of being in the classroom by day and entrepreneurship by night and weekend. It was intense, but that season of hustle laid the foundation for our business today. We went full-time with the business in the spring of 2022, and immediately entered a season of rapid growth. Scaling came with its fair share of growing pains—learning to hire, delegate, and trust others with the brand we had poured so much into. But those challenges made us stronger, and ultimately led us to build a team we’re incredibly proud of.
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that excellence is in the details—how you show up, how you communicate, how you treat people. We’ve also learned the importance of boundaries and balance. These days, we’re intentional about protecting our time and our energy so we can continue to deliver high-touch service without burning out. Our team now handles most events and prep, and we’re working toward hiring a full-time bar manager so we can start our next chapter with even greater focus and clarity.
At the heart of it all, we want our clients and fellow vendors to know we care deeply—not just about cocktails, but about their whole experience. Bartenders are the only team at an event who interacts with every single guest so we work hard to make it special!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Here’s how we’d spend the week with an out of town bestie!
We’d kick things off with dinner at ChoLon—because we’ve never had an app or meal that let us down and their cocktails are amazing . From there, we’d go dancing at La Rumba for some salsa or hit the Grizzly Rose for a little two step.
For a more laid-back night, we’d head to Urban Cowboy in RiNo. It’s cozy, the western aesthetic is GIVING, and they serve up incredible well-balanced cocktails!
Of course, no visit to Colorado is complete without some breath taking views. We’d plan a drive up Mount Blue Sky. This is my go-to place to bring out of state pals because we can drive up and stop along the way for shorter hikes. This works great for folks who aren’t used to the elevation!
The rest of the week would be a mix of local gems. Grabbing coffee at Queen City, browsing Second Love on Tennyson, hitting the Highlands farmers market, and maybe even catching a show at Red Rocks if the timing is right!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We owe so much of our success to the mentors and resources that helped shape our business in the early days. At the very start of our journey, we worked with five different business coaches from all across the country. Each one brought a unique perspective and pushed us in different ways, and we truly wouldn’t be where we are today without their guidance and encouragement. They helped us build not just a business, but a strong foundation for sustainable growth.
We also have to give a huge shoutout to Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller. That book completely shifted our mindset when it came to how we speak to our ideal clients. It taught us that we’re not the hero of the story—our clients are. Once we embraced that perspective and started communicating from a place of service and clarity, everything changed. It’s a resource we still revisit and recommend to every entrepreneur we meet.
