We had the good fortune of connecting with Catherine Toon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Catherine, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The most fundamental emotional need we have is to love and be loved. God is Love and is wild about ALL His kids. He is the Source of all love and as we get to know Him as He REALLY is, we are able to see ourselves and others accurately. From this vantage point we are able to track with and fulfill the purposes that we were born for in all areas of life. My business helps heal how we see God, ourselves and others, and be released in the purposes we were born for: I am all about restoring wholeness, revealing identity, and releasing destiny in this context.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was not raised in a religious home, but an academic home, with our share of toxicity. But I did have a lot of God encounters at a young age. Later, I ran away from God because of the pain of our family unraveling. Professionally, I started out as a medical physician with full-time practice. I went home to raise my kids, which had always been the desire of my heart. As I encountered God in my personal struggles to find healing and peace, I encountered God’s crazy love. He, bit by bit, healed my heart and surprise, surprise He called me into ministry. This was so ironic, because I really thought those Christian people were nuts – love God’s killer sense of humor! I served in someone else’s ministry, church, and business for 10 years, being mentored and learning A LOT about what NOT to do! This was mostly that, to lead well, we need to be whole, and we should never sacrifice people for even the most beautiful vision. By the time God called me into my own ministry/business, I was suffering from intense burnout. But, because I know Him so well, I told Him that I was good with it, as long as He took care of my family (no sacrificing family on the altar of ministry/business) and paid the bills. And from there I took off, publishing 5 books. I knew nothing about the self-publishing or the professional publishing world, but step by step I walked it out. I also knew nothing about connections to speak and those evolved as well. Coaching was a fit right away: wholeness, professional, prophetic (what God is saying for you and your situation), conflict mediation, and couples’ coaching.
But if you really want to know my hot button, I LOVE seeing people COME ALIVE as they experience how utterly adored they are, right with all their mess and baggage. I LOVE to see people set free to be the gloriously beautiful and powerful human beings they were created to be in their flavor! As people track with their TRUE identities they are released into purpose, as an overflow of knowing how AMAZING they really are. People are then free to love and fulfill their highest callings, because every single human being is exquisitely marked by Love!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My husband and I love to hike. There are so many places around Colorado Springs that are amazing! When people visit, we take them to the Garden of the Gods to enjoy the amazing scenery. Depending on their fitness level we would hike Pike’s Peak and/or climb “The Incline”. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a delightful option and totally unique with its mountain terrain. On our rest days a visit to the Broadmoor is lovely and we could do high tea and tour Cherokee Ranch & Castle in Monument. For a great dining experience, personally, I love fondue, because it is so social and it takes a LONG time, if you do it properly with multiple courses. This means a LOT of great conversation (put away those smartphones), and enjoying the wonderful flavors and overall experience. I love the “Mona Lisa” in Manitou Springs or the Melting Pot in downtown Colorado Springs. A jaunt to Denver to see a musical and have a wonderful dinner is a great option – perhaps at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse for all the carnivores out there. A final trip to Glenwood springs, especially with an overnight stay is a lovely option.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to say God first, Who met me and tenderly walked me out of the intense sorrow, suffering, and heavy bondage that had resulted after years of childhood abuse. In the process, He birthed in me a passion to help others experience the same God I had come to know so intimately – healing, restoring them, and releasing them in purpose as He did me.

If you need a flesh and blood person, there are so many. I am happy to share about that as well!
