Meet Chatti Phil-Brown | Multi-disciplinary creative & small business owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chatti Phil-Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chatti, what makes you happy? Why?
My husband I were just discussing this the other day. I don’t need much to make me happy. Things like traveling, fancy meals, and pretty clothes are extras but what makes me happy most are the simple things. Being home in my garden and studio space, carving out time with my friends, and family movie nights. The seemingly mundane things in our lives that we take for granted like eating dinner with my family, the hugs from my daughters, even the casual habitual “good byes, see you later” from my husband are things I savor the most. My father passed away a few years ago and when I look fondly to our time together I don’t think about the gifts he gave me but rather the times he stood outside the house and waited for me when I had night classes (to make sure I got safely home) or the way he laughed so hard when he heard a funny joke (he was such a serious man). those moments are imprinted in my mind and makes me happy most.
What should our readers know about your business?
Remy & Rose is a small apothecary and micro flower farm in Wheat Ridge. We make natural soaps, salves, and deodorant creams using many ingredients sustainably sourced or from our own garden. We were recently part of Madewell/Nest Hometown Heroes class 14. Our products have sold at Urban Outfitters, Madewell, and independent brick & mortar shops around the country.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the Denver Botanic Garden as its a refuge in the middle of the city. It’s a great place to go in the late afternoon when the air is a little cooler
A friend just told me about Sensatia Cabaret in Rino, basically acrobatic/burlesque/live music circus that’s touring right now. I think that would be a hit for a night out.
If you’re more into outdoor live music, any of the free nights at the Levitt Pavilion sounds great.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A thank you to the wonderful makers/creatives in Colorado for keeping my spirits up.
