We had the good fortune of connecting with Cheryl Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cheryl, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk has played a huge role in both my personal life and career. I’ve learned that growth usually lives on the other side of discomfort. Growth is inevitable if you want to to achieve your goals for dream. Every major step I’ve taken — building my business, putting myself out there, investing in my skills, or trusting my vision before anyone else fully saw it or believed in me — involved some level of risk.
I don’t think about risk as being recklessly, though. I think about it strategically. I’m willing to take the chance on myself even if the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
Some of the biggest rewards in my career came from moments where I could have stayed comfortable but chose to bet on myself instead. Taking risks has taught me confidence, resilience, and the importance of trusting my instincts. Every opportunity is a learning experience and to grow from it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is the level of care, passion, and intention I put into every client experience. For me, beauty isn’t just about lashes, facials, or waxing — it’s about helping people feel confident, seen, and cared for the moment they walk through my door. I take pride in creating a clean, safe, welcoming environment where clients can truly relax and trust the process.
What I’m most proud of is building my business through consistency, hard work, and genuine relationships. Many of my clients have been with me for years, and that loyalty means everything to me. Seeing my clients leave happier, more confident, and referring their friends and family is one of the greatest accomplishments I could ask for.
Getting to where I am today definitely was not easy. Building a business and being a single mom of 3, takes sacrifice, long hours, self-belief, and pushing through moments of doubt. There were challenges financially, emotionally, and mentally, especially in an industry where standing out requires more than talent. I overcame those challenges by staying committed to growth, continuing to educate myself, focusing on professionalism and sanitation, and never losing sight of why I started.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success doesn’t happen overnight. Consistency, resilience, and treating people with kindness matter more than perfection. I’ve also learned that your reputation is everything — people remember how you make them feel.
What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on passion, trust, quality, and heart. Behind every service is someone who genuinely cares about helping others feel beautiful and confident inside and out. My story is proof that with dedication, faith, and perseverance, you can build something meaningful from the ground up.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend actually lives about 1,800 miles away and also owns her own business, so when we do get time together, it’s all about slowing down, reconnecting, and enjoying experiences we normally don’t make time for, like enjoying each others company sense we live so far. My ideal week would honestly be a mix of good food, self-care, deep conversations, much needed laughs, tears, and little adventures when we get together.
One of our first stops would definitely be The Melting Pot for lunch because it our favorite place — it turns into an experience where you can sit for hours, laugh, catch up, and really enjoy the moment.
After that, I’d probably take her down to The Springs Resort & Spa in Pagosa Springs. As business owners, we’re always pouring into everyone else, so having time to completely unplug, soak in the hot springs, nap, and just relax would honestly be one of the best parts of the trip. Being Colorado Natives, we know Colorado has such a peaceful energy in places like that.
For dinner, we’d absolutely go to Pho 95 because it’s comforting, authentic, and one of those spots that never disappoints. Being a small business owner we understand the struggle and dreams. We love places that feel welcoming and grounded.
Throughout the week we’d probably, support small businesses, grab coffee at local shops, take scenic drives through the mountains, maybe spend a day shopping and another day just staying in watching movies and talking about life and business goals. I think the best experiences are the ones that feel genuine and leave you feeling recharged.
To me, some of the most exciting things to check out in Colorado aren’t always the biggest tourist attractions — it’s the hidden gems, the small businesses, the creative people, the mountain views, the food spots with personality, and the moments where you can truly slow down and connect with people.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to the people who believed in me before everything looked successful — my loyal clients, the people who supported my business through word of mouth, and everyone who trusted me with their confidence and self-care and most of all my kids! Building a business takes a village, and I wouldn’t be where I am without the encouragement, referrals, and genuine support from my village!
I also want to recognize fellow beauty professionals and mentors (Veronica Talbott and Amber Dawn) who inspired me to keep growing, improving my craft, and holding myself to high standards behind the scenes — especially when it comes to professionalism, sanitation, and creating a safe experience for every client. Every lesson, challenge, and connection helped shape both me and my business into what it is today.

Also the support and becoming a member of NALA (National Association of Lash Artists) as well as other members has help me and my business become a place that I can feel confident in my behind the senses disinfecting and sanitation of my tools and work area. Making sure im keeping my clients safe.
