We had the good fortune of connecting with Cheryl Singleton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cheryl, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was tired of putting in long hours and working myself like crazy for the benefit of someone else. My thought was why am I working this hard for another person when I could be doing this for myself!

What should our readers know about your business?
As a Residential Real Estate Agent, I believe Real Estate is not a transactional business, it’s a business about helping people. My clients truly are my friends and family and I want to be their advisor for life. My passion is helping people find their place in the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When I’m not working, I am very much a home body so I don’t get out much. I will say, a brunch at Bacon Social House is a MUST. The food is amazing and the staff at the S Broadway location is amazing!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I credit becoming a Pure Barre teacher for giving me the strength, courage and confidence to start my Real Estate business. After completing a very rigorous training program which allowed me to command a room by multitasking with musicality, counts, choreography and hands on corrections while on a microphone, I thought, there isn’t anything I can’t do.
