Meet CheyAnne Myers | Owner of Makeupbychey

We had the good fortune of connecting with CheyAnne Myers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CheyAnne, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I would say that my thought process was to be able to be my own boss! I wanted to show everyone what I was capable of. Also to be able to show off my creativity in a way that everyone could love and enjoy as well!

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner of a small makeup brand. I started my business with the hopes and dreams of making everyone feel included and beautiful! I think I’m most proud of how far I’ve come and how much my brand has grown! I’ve always imagined what my brand could or would grow into but I never expected this! I feel like I got where I am today because of the love and support I got from day one. Everyone was always so supportive and was so excited to see what would come next! But getting where I am today was not easy and still isn’t easy. It takes a lot of hard work and money! I didn’t fully overcome all the challenges thrown my way but they do get easier to deal with once times goes on! I feel like that is also a lesson in itself! We all have challenges and obstacles thrown at us, it’s just our responsibility to make the best of them and show them who is BOSS! I want the world to know that anything is possible if you put your entire being into what you love. I spent days and days, maybe even weeks, researching everything there was to know about makeup and it turned into something amazing. So don’t give up what you love! You never know what it could turn into!!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I love hiking and sight seeing, so that would be a must!! There are so many beautiful places and trails to choose here in Colorado so it wouldn’t be too hard to find something breathtaking! For example we found a small cave one time here in The Springs and watched the sun set behind the mountains from the inside of the cave! Ahh food!! Some of my favorite food places are back home in Summit County! Like “Downstairs at Eric’s” or “MotherLoaded Tavern” on Breckenridge Main Street! I think just being in Colorado is an experience and interesting all on its own! There’s always something to do or see! Some of the most beautiful and fun places to visit here in The Springs would have to be the incline, Seven Falls, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs and honestly any hiking trail you find leads to beautiful scenery!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband David, for sure! If it weren’t for my husband always being so supportive of my hopes and dreams I wouldn’t be where I am at today! He is my rock and I couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else! He is always so helpful with the business! He helps package up the orders, helps print off labels, literally anything I do he helps me with and I couldn’t be more grateful for such an amazing person in my life!
