We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Rowe, MSOL and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I believe strongly in the habit of putting people first and taking the time to consider your impact on others. As The Collaborative has grown it’s been a habit that has served us well. When COVID started we offered free coaching sessions to leaders in our community to help them go remote quickly, have difficult conversations with their teams, or help maintain connections. Putting the needs of people first in a time they felt overwhelmed reminded them that their trust in us was well placed, and it even helped to deepen the relationship we had in the community.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Starting, building, and sustaining a business is never easy, but it can be fun when you enjoy the work you do, the people you serve, and get to grow everyday in your expertise. At The Collaborative, we make it a goal to be growing alongside our clients, making learning a priority. Delivering great leadership and team development really requires it as the world and its challenges change rapidly. We help the leaders we serve look at new approaches and possibilities while deepening the trust and connections on their teams. It’s not always easy for leaders to be in constant growth, but it always results in a positive impact for the teams they serve!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite places to go in Denver are Tacos, Tequila, Whiskey for street tacos, often carryout to head over to Sloan’s lake for some fresh air and mountain views. As a total dog person I love taking my pups on hikes in the foothills on the warmer mornings, or around the parks in the city on the chillier mornings! The sunshine is my absolute favorite thing about living here, and I use getting out for a walk as a quick reset when I’m feeling low energy.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Along the way I have built an incredible personal advisory board, who help me in making decisions, choosing which risks to take, and lean on in the more turbulent times. Those mentors, experts, and peers have been incredibly invaluable, not only in decisions but in helping to remove the battle with imposter syndrome by being my greatest advocates!
