We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Frey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have overcome quite a lot of adversity in my life and I have learned many coping skills that I now use to help people in many challenging situations. Many of my clients are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, human trafficking, addiction and recovery. Teaching exercise for over 30 years, including trauma informed yoga that I currently teach for the amazing survivors I have the honor to work with is a blessing to me. My Shamanic Reiki and energy healing provides my clients with the deep profound healing they are seeking as well as the tools to begin healing themselves. Many of the people I work with feel that they have lost their personal power and self-esteem, self-respect and self-confidence. By creating a safe sacred space, my private studio allows them the freedom to be who they are without judgment or fear. I have always been spiritual as well as a psychic and medium so becoming a shaman was a natural course of events for me. I use all of my spiritual gifts to help others have support, encouragement and tools for healing while beginning their transformative healing journey. I truly believe that we are here to help one another and to be a shining example of courage, light, compassion and support.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My beautiful private yoga, meditation and Reiki studio is an open and welcome space for all humans. The Shamanic Reiki healing enhances your life and deepens your transformational awareness and my trauma informed yoga teaches people how to recognize and tolerate physical sensations. I teach people how to do Reiki through powerful attunements, that are the next step toward understanding the healing powers of and use of Reiki to heal themselves and others. I find it very fulfilling to help people discover their strengths, regain their personal power and begin their transformative healing journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend horseback riding at the Garden of the Gods and to South Slope Recreation Area for some amazing fly fishing. Western Omellette and Marigold’s for food and Dutch Bros for the best coffee in town!!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest supporters are God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and my spiritual support team. I have received so much support from my sons, Nova and Brian Jr. and my husband Tim and to them I am eternally grateful. I also love my Shamans Sarah Norwood and Jerri Doran and my therapist Amy Long from Seeds of Change. I am truly blessed with so many friends and supporters that encourage me every day.
