Meet Claudia Scheffler-Perrone | Personal Branding &Communication Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Claudia Scheffler-Perrone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Claudia, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m born and grew up in Germany but my parents came from Italy. In my house it was definitely “little Italy”. Italian food and especially Italian Culture. Not so long ago the differences between Germans and Italians were pretty big. Especially in communication. I used to dress and eat differently than my class mates. My parents always talked lauder than the Germans. I never tried to go with the flow or to swim under the radar. I think growing up as a foreigner in a Country shapes you always differently. You are always torn between your mother Country and their values and the Country you grow up. In Germany I was not a German, but in Italy I was not a „real“ Italian. I think this kind of feeling “in between” can be very difficult for many people. I embraced that differences. It made me kind of special and mysterious. I grew up with “live and let live”. And this is something I still believe in it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I traveled around the world and I used to work as a Marketing & PR Manager in different companies. In 2008, I become self employed. Mainly because so many people told me repeatedly to share my knowledge and to invest in my own business. So I did it. Since then I have clients from all over the world. At the beginning in classic marketing / PR, later with Executive coaching and training. Mainly I coach Executives and professional athletes in growing their visibility with Personal Branding and Communication. I help them with the right strategy to show their expertise and to be the face of their business. Helping others, helped me too and my own Personal Brand grew too. To that point that I am regularly on big stages and on TV shows to talk about my topics. I’m Co-Author of three books and teach also at the University Journalism and digital Sports Journalism. As an Entrepreneur you are always challenged. You have to grow and learn constantly. And exactly this makes it so wonderful. My more than 20 years of extensive expertise, my education / trainings during that time, my authenticity and my character sets me apart. What I do, working with people, is not only my Job. It’s my passion. This is very important because people can feel if you do something just for the money or because you believe in what you do. Watch my clients to grow makes me really proud and happy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It depends where my friend visits me. Is it in Germany where I usually live or Bangkok where I’m staying at the moment. Either way I would bring them to a great restaurant, where only locals eat. We would drink a great glass of wine on a rooftop bar or in that little Neapolitan Bar around the corner, with loud speaking Italians. I think spending a day together with good food, drinks and laughter is the best thing you can do, wherever you are. Just enjoying the moment and life.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The most recognition should go to my mother. She was an incredible woman. She was a writer, had to Phd’s and came to Germany without even speaking the language. She was the first Italian Teacher in Bremen (German City). She helped her whole life people and she was always there for us, even though she was a working mom. I never felt that. She built everything from the scratch without help. My mom was a strong and independent woman. One of her kind. She gave me so much confidence and told me repeatedly that she was proud of me, no matter which path I would take. This made me really strong and self-confident. I wouldn’t be here if it wouldn’t be of her.
