Hi Coleen, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success can be measured through many avenues in a small business. Though paying the bills is an important piece that allows me to continue, I am grateful for the many other attributes that come with custom design and manufacturing. The people I am blessed to serve and provide a quality product to, is very meaningful to me. Clients and I work together to create a hat that will both serve and protect them in their unique style. Interacting with folks, allows me to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. I find that I am a bit of an introvert, so though I embrace client interaction, I am equally as content working alone listening to good music and laughing at my own bad jokes. I truly feel like I have the perfect job.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Cowboy Up Hatters is a custom hat shop. I am blessed to be in possession of equipment that is from the turn of the century. These specialized pieces allow me to create custom hats of any style and size. I have been creating hats for over 30 years for people of all walks of life. I continue to learn and grow about hats and people, and as the years race by, I have learned to be kind to others and myself. Work is not the enemy, I try my best, and can be contented in that. I am grateful to meet so many wonderful hat wearers from around our state and the globe.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love living and working in Colorado. There are so many activities and events accessible. We recommend the sporting events. From the Colorado Eagles, and Denver Summit FC, to the many concerts available throughout the year

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our family loves great food, and fabulous service. It is a special treat when we can visit Guard and Grace in Denver. They pay attention to the details that all contribute to a wonderful experience.
