Meet Dane Rickard | Real Estate Agent/Team Leader and Colorado Lifestyle Enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dane Rickard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dane, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
The amount of roles that we play in people’s lives, along with the workload that it takes to work with people through one of their largest financial and emotional decisions, buying or selling their home.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the Team Leader of the Mile High Home Group at RE/MAX Professionals. We are one of the most unique teams in the Colorado real estate landscape, with 3 co-leaders who all have significantly different backgrounds, but all with one goal in mind; to provide an incredible, world-class experience to our clients utilizing the best of technology, negotiating, and marketing skills coupled with a love of our home state of Colorado that we all live in and spend out lives dedicated to improving.
Starting this team came from a culmination of each of us having prior experience being a part of more traditional real estate teams that had suffered from a lack of bandwidth, vision and goals limited by not having creative minds getting together to build something together. As we formed our team we knew it would be imperative to build a brand within a brand that our clients and general consumers would understand gave them a competitive edge in the marketplace along with the confidence in our collective years of experience and skills.
What I want the world to know about who we are is that we are genuinely the best at what we do from a standpoint of our fundamental skills and experience, while being extremely innovative in our approach to marketing and guiding people through the process of buying, selling, or investing in real estate!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a non-Coloradan visiting for a week, my itinerary would look like this;
1.) Start the week off by knocking out some of the more touristy things like visiting Red Rocks or possibly going to a show. We would try to focus on eating some great food whether it is wings in Morrison, steaks Black Hat Cattle Company in Kittridge, or some great Mexican food at Los Dos Potrillos in Littleton.
2.) I would like to spend a day during the week at Chatfield State Park, enjoying a day on my surf boat, the SS Rolling Wave, a MasterCraft X24. I would teach them to surf or wakeboard, while also scoping our the great trails and natural areas around the lake.
3.) A rough day on the lake would deserve a drive to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, to relax and enjoy before we head further down Hwy 285 for another round of adventures.
4.) After getting rested up, I would take my friend on a phenomanel dirt bike/RZR ride around the Marshall Pass/Bonanza Loop. We would explore old mines, cemetaries, and end up riding on some of the most epic trails culminating with the top of Round Mountain that has immaculate views of the Sangro De Cristo Mountains and even the Great Sand Dunes.
5.) After an epic day of riding, we would head back down Hwy 50 and into Colorado Springs, where we could play a round of golf at the Broadmoor Hotel or visit Garden of The Gods, or possibly Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
6.) Finally, we’d spend that last of our time just hanging out at/near my home in Conifer, CO. We would go hiking, and spend time hanging out, playing cards, and grilling ribs on the Traeger or cooking burgers on the Blackstone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
RE/MAX. RE/MAX was founded in Denver, CO in 1973 by Dave Liniger. His vision was that when it comes to running your business as an independent contractor selling real estate that you should be in business for yourself, but not by yourself. With a dream and plan revolving around maximizing the skills and the service that you could provide, RE/MAX is a brand that stands for impeccable ethics, advanced strategies, and a synergy that no other brand in the history of real estate has emulated. In addition to the brand power of this organization, it stands for everything that is good in our nation; opportunity, diversity, and the ability to achieve your dreams through hard work! Since joining RE/MAX in 2012, my career and life has grown in ways I never could have imagined.
