Meet Danica Minor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danica Minor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danica, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
For us, the most important factor has been authenticity and vision. Viperwitch was never about chasing trends or fitting into a mold—it’s about building a world that feels true to who we are: fierce, theatrical, and deeply rooted in the wasteland mythos we’ve created. Everything we do—our music, stage shows, visuals, even the banners we just debuted—is connected to that vision. When people see us live, they’re not just hearing songs, they’re stepping into a story. I think that commitment to authenticity, and never compromising on who we are as artists, is what draws people in and keeps them connected to our brand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Viperwitch is more than just a band—it’s an immersive world we’ve built. We describe ourselves as wasteland metal because we want people to step into a post-apocalyptic ritual when they see us live. Our shows are full of theatrical visuals, custom stage banners, and outfits that carry myth and story, so you’re not just hearing songs—you’re entering a universe.
What sets us apart is that authenticity. We don’t pretend to be something we’re not—we’ve lived the struggle, we’ve clawed our way through setbacks, and we pour all of that into our art. I’m most proud of how we’ve been able to take that vision and make it real on bigger stages. Seeing people connect to it—to the She Wolves album, to the Huntress archetype, to the wasteland aesthetic—feels like proof that staying true to yourself matters.
Getting here wasn’t easy. We’ve dealt with lineup changes, financial stress, industry doors slamming in our faces, and plenty of moments where it felt like no one was paying attention. But every time, we pushed through by relying on each other, outworking the obstacles, and remembering why we started this in the first place. The biggest lesson is that resilience and persistence matter just as much as talent.
What I want the world to know about Viperwitch is that we’re not here to blend in—we’re here to create something lasting. Our story is about survival, empowerment, and refusing to let the fire burn out no matter what gets thrown at us. If people take anything away from our brand, I want it to be this: your voice and your vision are worth fighting for.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a loaded question, I am a native and so is my father. There are so many amazing places in Denver that it really has to come down to WHO is visiting and what they enjoy! This city is so vast with adventure!
If my best friend was visiting, I’d definitely want to give them a mix of the places that shaped me and the things that still feel magical around here. We’d start up in Boulder at Sushi Zanmai—it’s my go-to spot, and honestly one of the best sushi experiences in Colorado. After that, I’d probably balance it with something fun and carefree like a full day at Water World or taking them to one of my home towns of Breckenridge!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Viperwitch wouldn’t exist without the people who believed in us when things were toughest. First and foremost, my bandmates—we’re a pack, and every member has carried weight when the others needed it most. Beyond that, our families and close friends who kept supporting us when we were grinding through lineup changes, financial struggles, and all the chaos that comes with trying to build something real. The female leaders of the broader metal scene like Jo Gamel of the band Jupiter and her channel Rock Goddesses. She’s brought together women across the globe in full support of one another, without her it would have taken much longer for all of us to connect and find each other and forge such incredibly strong bonds that keep us going. Needless to say all the lead women of the US, Canada and EU rock and metal community that we been so fortunate to have come close with over the years. Without these women I personally would have felt very alone and misunderstood for another 40 years.
We also owe a huge shoutout to the local Denver metal scene. Playing the local clubs and working with promoters who gave us a shot helped us sharpen our identity and learn how to command a stage. And of course, our fans—who show up, buy merch, sing along, and remind us why we’re doing this in the first place.
At the end of the day, Viperwitch is about community, not self ego and we stand strong on that. Every step forward is shared credit with the people who carried us, cheered for us, and made us feel like what we’re doing matters.
