We had the good fortune of connecting with Danny Elliott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danny, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Honestly, it’s giving people more than what they’re paying for.

There are hundreds of tattoo studios in Denver, and you can find good artists out there that are creating work with similar quality even if it’s a different style. What sets us apart is the environment we create in addition to the artwork. We want to hear your story, and we have private rooms setup so you get a one on one experience with your artist rather than the typical open shop setup.

Whether you want to put on a movie and kick it, have a zen atmosphere with lo-fi and quiet meditation, or use your session as tattoo therapy – Flow State Gallery is your personal tattoo experience.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our team is a small, dedicated group of art nerds who have all found our way to the Denver area for a variety of reasons, including the inspiring art scene, a desire to reconnect with nature, and a passion for bringing your creative visions to life.

Flow State Gallery was established in 2023 as a private studio by owner and artist Danny Elliott. Over the past two years, the shop has warmly welcomed the talented Sabrina Stabs and Sarah Jaquez onto our creative crew.

The original concept behind our gallery was to maintain an intimate atmosphere, somewhere whispered about in the city but you had to know who to talk to. Each tattoo experience tailored exclusively for each of our clients. While we still maintain that same inviting atmosphere, we are finally ready to open our space to the public so everyone can share the energy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My ideal time in the city would include some exercise based sight seeing while running along the Platte river, followed up by a hearty breakfast at Sam’s N0.3 or The Cozy Cottage. Check out the murals around RiNo and stop in for a drink at Our Mutual friend, followed up by shopping at the wizards chest for some nerdy inspiration. Watch the sunset or catch an event at Red Rocks and finish the night off with incredible dinner and a skyline view at El Five. Then, after an amazing day in the city, Id spend the next few exploring the mountains for some Snowboarding or Hiking depending on the season. I think my favorite thing about Denver is that while there is already a ton to love within the city limits, there’s also so much to explore just outside.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my partner and better half, Sabrina Stabs. She has been nothing but supportive throughout this journey over the last few years while making incredible progress in her own tattoo career. Her passion inspires me daily, and I wouldn’t be where I am without her.

I also want to thank my clients who have supported me throughout my entire 14 year career. Without you I wouldn’t be able to pursue this craft that I love. Thank you all.
