We had the good fortune of connecting with David Rosckowff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, how do you think about risk?
“Failure is only the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.” – Henry Ford.

I have tried many different things in life, and most of them have turned out to be valuable learning experiences. Because I refuse to stop trying, I have gradually become wiser. I am definitely a risk-taker and hardheaded, but I believe that, if you learn from failures and incorporate those lessons into the future, you can make great choices that lead to positive outcomes.

I apply this approach to everything I do in business. The risks may get bigger, but they are also more informed by my past experiences and accumulated knowledge.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started a YouTube channel called “Driver’s Therapy.”

See, I love driving and working on cars. It is a passion and a form of therapy for me. Over the years, I have worked my way up from regular cool cars to collectible sports cars, and I have enjoyed each one of them.

On top of that, I am an introvert; but, I also get lonely, so I decided to film my drives and the work I do to the cars. I started to make DIY maintenance videos for each sports car I got, like how to change your oil and how to do maintenance on each particular car. It started to catch traction with viewers, so I decided to do a lot more videos about each model of car. The videos aren’t flashy, but they are easy for another DIYer to follow. When I am done with all the videos and have enjoyed driving the car for a while, I sell the car and get another one and do the same.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since I love cars and driving, I would take my friend on a drive of the Colorado National Monument scenic Rim Rock Drive, which spans 23 miles of pavement up above red rock canyons. I’d also take them across the Grand Mesa (the biggest flat-topped mountain in the world) to see the aspens and look down over the valley. We’d have to take a drive to the Gateway Resort for lunch, which showcases fields, canyons, red rocks, and more.

While in town, we would stop at my favorite quick restaurant, Pollo Asado, for a great chicken meal, or maybe grab some gourmet sandwiches from The Hog and The Hen. We’d then stop for ice cream at Enstrom’s and pick out some amazing chocolates.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife, Elise. She films and supports my crazy ideas. Making videos is fun, but also a lot of work that can be stressful.

Parker Scott, the talented photographer in Grand Junction. We have helped each other grow for years.

My subscribers. There are many subscribers who have supported us from day one; they know who they are, and we are very grateful.
