We had the good fortune of connecting with Diana Merrin-Goetz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Diana, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My people are the source behind my business and personal success. Without authentic real human connection, we struggle as businesses to stay afloat. My best business driver is word-of-mouth and referrals–seemingly old school but they work! Nurturing those relationships through touches and regular communication/phone calls/in-person meetings are really important when cultivating a sphere of influence list of supporters. COVID has made this more difficult, but it’s also forced us to just get more creative.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a residential & commercial real estate agent, but I’m also a creative person. I’m so much more than my label and I think my clientele reflect this (I’ve got quite a diverse group in the mix!). I’ve worked with 1000’s of buyers and sellers in the last 23 years and have pretty much seen it all! I love to stay creative by sharing my extensive ‘hard knocks’ knowledge of market conditions, investment options and trends, listing and selling homes, negotiation, and a nationwide network of resources and contacts. Winning a transaction negotiation requires creativity and a skill for working outside the box. You’ll see when you meet me, I’m don’t possess the typical agent ‘look’. I’m fun and different and my clients love me for me. It also gives me a market edge.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have a wide variety of fun things I like to do. I am comfortable in fancy restaurants all the way to my favorite biker bars. I love to go four wheeling in my Jeep and enjoying everything that the outdoors of Colorado offers.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A shout out to anyone in business who understands the benefits of working outside of your designated ‘job description’ and are service-driven. I thrive on helping people with anything they need, not just their real estate needs and will do anything for my friends-my clients….same thing 🙂 When I see others in business who possess the same service values, I want to refer them because then it’s so much more than a transaction.
