We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Chris Robl and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Chris, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to challenge the status quo in healthcare. I went from treating 30 patients a day to treating 30/week. I went from treating people as another number in the system to understanding who they were as people and understanding how I fit into their journey. I wanted to provide a higher quality experience with better outcomes, and I couldn’t do that in the traditional model of healthcare. Opening Physio Room was absolutely the founded on a dream that we could change peoples lives if we just stopped long enough to listen. Healthcare has become more about how many people can you see in a day and not about providing the care that our clients deserve. Everyday we make decisions, we ask ourselves, “How will this get better outcomes and improve the patient experience.” At the end of the day, I go home to family knowing that I have done everything I could do to make the world a better place and hearing the success stories from out clients is the most rewarding thing I could ever imagine.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We don’t use techs or aides and never treatment multiple people at the same time. We are one-on-one with a doctor of physical therapy every single visit. This allows us to get people better faster with fewer visits, saving you time and money. We have had our challenges along the way, especially this year with covid. As hard as it has been, people have found the value in our model of care and feel safer with us knowing that we can control those variables much more than some big box shop that treats multiple people at the same time. We have seen tremendous growth in our first two years and have some many raving fans because we truly connect without our clients on a much deeper level and allow them to be the hero of their own story. We are just lucky enough to be able to guide them along the journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As an avid mountain biker, I would say that we would visit our friends at the Bikery at the Brewery to stock up on all the gear we would need for our epic adventure. A bike shop located just off the back of Breckinridge Brewery in Littleton, CO. We would then venture out and ride the colorado trail. We would ride out to buffalo creek and meet up with the rest of the crew waiting for us there. We would camp enjoy some great beer from our friends at Jackass Hill Brewery and tell stories around the camp fire. We would loop buff creek and then head back down the trail for 27 miles of downhill back to the truck parked at waterton canyon.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, my wife deserves a lot of the credit. She works tirelessly taking care of our 3 children and that provides me the opportunity to focus on our business. She is my rock and my sounding board. Without her, I wouldn’t be here.
