Meet Dr. Faith Truthan | Chiropractic Physician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Faith Truthan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Faith, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting TruSpine & Wellness wasn’t just a career move—it was a calling rooted in my passion to serve and uplift the people in my community. Over the years, I’ve seen how often patients feel like just another number, rushed in and out of offices without truly being seen, heard, or cared for in a meaningful way. That didn’t sit right with me.
I founded TruSpine & Wellness to break that mold. My vision was to create a space where people receive care that goes above and beyond what’s typical in chiropractic settings—a place where individuals are valued not just for the pain they walk in with, but for who they are as whole people. My goal is to treat the entire body, not just the isolated area of pain, because true healing happens when we address the root cause, not just the symptoms.
A major motivation for opening my own practice came from witnessing the overall lack of high-quality, personalized care in my profession. I knew there had to be a better way—one that prioritized patient education, empowered individuals to understand their pain, and built a partnership between provider and patient. I want my patients to feel equipped and supported as we work together to get them back to doing what they love.
Another driving force behind TruSpine & Wellness was the frustration of navigating an insurance-based system that often restricts how doctors can treat. Insurance companies frequently dictate treatment plans, limit visit numbers, and focus on short-term fixes rather than long-term solutions. By choosing a cash-based model, I have the freedom to create truly comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. This allows us to address the underlying causes of pain more quickly and effectively—without jumping through hoops or cutting corners.
At TruSpine & Wellness, it’s not just about alignment of the spine—it’s about alignment with your life, your goals, and your well-being. My mission is simple: to provide exceptional, personalized care that empowers you to thrive.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TruSpine & Wellness was born from a dream—and a bit of a play on words. The name is a nod to my last name, but more importantly, it reflects the foundation of my practice: providing TRUE, honest, high-quality care that goes beyond the surface. I’m not just interested in relieving pain temporarily—I’m here to treat the whole person, to help people feel seen, and to partner with them in a way that supports their total well-being.
What sets TruSpine & Wellness apart is the level of intentionality in everything I do. Each treatment plan is customized and focused not just on the symptoms, but on identifying and addressing the root cause of a patient’s pain or dysfunction. I strive to offer care that is relational, not transactional—where patients know they’re being heard and cared for as individuals, not just another appointment on the schedule.
Getting to where I am today business-wise has been far from easy. The journey to TruSpine & Wellness didn’t start with a simple career shift—it started with a decision to go back to school nearly ten years after I had already taken a different path. It meant walking away from comfort and security to pursue something I deeply believed in: a profession where I could make a real difference in people’s lives. That decision felt impossible at times—but with a lot of faith, support, and grit, I made it.
Since opening, one of the biggest challenges has been creating leads and building a steady patient base from the ground up. Starting from zero is humbling. There are days that are full and energizing—and days that are quiet and uncertain. But what I’ve learned is this: nothing is guaranteed in business. The slow days don’t mean you’ve failed; they often just mean it’s time to try a different approach, be patient, or ride the natural ebb and flow that every business goes through.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to not take the ups or downs personally. Your effort is not wasted just because the results aren’t instant. Building something meaningful takes time, consistency, and heart—and I’ve poured all of that into this practice.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and this brand, it’s that TruSpine & Wellness is more than a chiropractic office. It’s a story of perseverance, faith, and purpose. It’s the story of someone who overcame seemingly impossible odds to build something designed to serve others. And every person who walks through my doors is a part of that story.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, we’d be soaking up all the beauty, flavor, and adventure Colorado has to offer. I’m all about curating a week that mixes good coffee, great food, epic scenery, and active fun—and Denver has all of that in abundance.
Day 1: Coffee Tour Kickoff + City Stroll
We’d start the trip off with a local coffee tour because Denver is home to some incredible spots. Our stops would include Sweet Bloom, Corvus, Sati, and Queen City Collective Coffee—all unique, cozy, and serious about their brews. We’d grab a couple lattes to-go and stroll through the RiNo Art District to check out the murals and vibrant street art.
Day 2: Red Rocks + Pizza Night
We’d take our morning coffee and head to Red Rocks Amphitheatre—one of the most breathtaking places in the state. Whether we catch a sunrise, do the stairs, or just soak up the views, it’s a must. That evening, we’d wind down with a casual dinner at Homegrown Tap & Dough—one of my favorite pizza spots or Edgewater Marketplace-the best place in town for a celery root based reuben sandwich. It’s a must try!
Day 3: Mountain Day in Breckenridge
A full day in Breckenridge is a no-brainer. We’d take a hike in the crisp mountain air and ride the gondola up for stunning views of the Rockies. Maybe grab lunch in town and stroll through the charming downtown shops before heading back.
Day 4: Rocky Mountain National Park & Estes
This day is all about nature therapy. We’d head up to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes State Park—two of my absolute favorite places. I’d show them my favorite trails, and we’d stop at some scenic pull-offs to take it all in.
Day 5: Winter Skiing or Summer Biking
Depending on the season, we’re either spending the day skiing at Copper Mountain (one of my favorite winter escapes) or cycling through Colorado’s endless network of bike paths. There’s something so peaceful about riding with mountain views in the background—plus, it’s a great way to earn our next meal.
Day 6: Chill Day + Brewery Hop
After all that adventure, we’d keep things more lowkey—maybe brunch at a local spot, then hit up a few breweries like Our Mutual Friend, Ratio Beerworks, or Denver Beer Co. Colorado knows its craft beers, and the vibes are always good.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Success is never a solo journey—and mine has been no exception. I’m deeply grateful for the people who have poured into me, stood by me, and encouraged me along the way. Launching TruSpine & Wellness was a huge leap of faith, but thanks to the unwavering support of so many, I had the courage and strength to make it happen.
First and foremost, I want to thank God. Nothing in my life—especially this opportunity to launch my own business—would be possible without His grace. He has carried me through seasons that felt impossible, opened doors I could have never imagined, and placed the right people and opportunities in my path exactly when I needed them most. Returning to school for a second career wasn’t easy, but through every challenge and every unknown, I’ve felt His steady hand guiding me forward.
To my parents and family—thank you for being my rock throughout my education and as I made the bold decision to open my own practice. Your constant belief in me, your sacrifices, and your unconditional love carried me through some of the most challenging moments. I wouldn’t be where I am without you.
A huge shoutout to my friends Kris and Hunter, who not only encouraged me to take the leap into business ownership, but also provided invaluable help in navigating the startup process. Your support, advice, and willingness to offer a space for me to launch TruSpine & Wellness mean more than I can put into words.
To Karin and Erin—thank you for continually reminding me that I can do hard things, and that growth often comes from leaning into discomfort. Your friendship has helped me embrace the lessons life throws my way and find strength in the process.
And finally, another huge shoutout to my best friend and colleague, Gina. You have been an anchor in this journey—a trusted friend, a professional sounding board, and a voice of reason reminding me to prioritize myself even amidst the chaos of building a business. Your support, encouragement, prayers, and shared wisdom have been instrumental in helping me navigate the intimidating parts of going out on my own. I’m beyond grateful to have you by my side.
To everyone who’s walked with me on this journey—thank you. Your presence, your belief, and your love helped make TruSpine & Wellness a reality.
