We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Kelly Schuh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Kelly, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
At Worth International, LLC, our vision is to live in a world where women are equally paid what men are and where they know their value and worth in society. I believe that when women hold the same economic power that men do, we will truly have a voice to bring more peace and prosperity to the whole world.
Times are changing rapidly and the world needs a different kind of leadership where people are held more valuable than profits. Not only do we want to end the gender pay gap, but we also want to empower women to start conscious businesses that have the power to rapidly change the trajectory of the major global challenges we face including clean water, women’s rights, food distribution, violence, war, global warming, and our natural world.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I know what it feels like to be BROKE, but not BROKEN.
I will never forget the day my coach challenged me to DOUBLE my rates.
I about dropped the phone as my heart started racing. I was in shock, and immediately thought, “No one would EVER pay me those rates!” Then, she challenged me to go for it and just “try” it for 30 days.
At that time, I had been in business for over 5 years as a Health and Relationship coach and I was totally BROKE (130K in debt) and on the brink of QUITTING!
I was desperate, and my husband had given me an ultimatum that if things didn’t turn around soon, I would have to quit. We had a jumbo mortgage and a family to feed!
I had done ALL the things (written an Amazon bestseller, created an online community over 12K strong, created an online course, done Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula (2x), joined high-end mastermind groups, attended business growth seminars, hired private coaches, played the social media “look at me” game, and built a gorgeous website) and at the end of the day even though I looked successful, I was failing miserably when it came to cash flow and profit.
I was also overgiving, undercharging, and overextending myself in an attempt to find my worth outside of myself.
Can you relate to any of this?
With nothing to lose and everything to gain, I said YES to the challenge.
That YES, that challenge, that spark, led me to go deep within my soul so that I could heal my relationship with self-worth, money, sales, and living from a place of abundance.
That was the year I tripled my business to 6 figures, moved from Scare-city to Prosper-city, and stopped the overwhelm and exhaustion. For the first time in years, I felt Prosperous, Peaceful, and Playful.
I am now committed to empowering female coaches, consultants, and entrepreneurs to own their worth from the inside out so that they can make more money, give their gifts to the world, and create the freedom business of their dreams.
I believe that scarcity is an Illusion and we must rise together as healthy, wealthy, female entrepreneurs to create the change we want to see in the world!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely LOVE living in Boulder, Colorado. I tell my friends back in my hometown of Wilmington, DE, it’s like living in Disney World!
First off, we would start our morning sipping coffee at Boxcar, a 5-minute walk from my house. Then we might have breakfast at Snooze where I would highly recommend the GF Pineapple upside-down pancakes.
After our bellies were full, we might check out the artists and stroll on Pearl Street or take a hike up at Chautauqua Park.
The up-and-coming week would be filled with adventure including skiing the back bowls of Vail in the winter, white water rafting in Buena Vista in the Spring, or camping in Rocky Mountain National Park in the summer or fall.
The week would finish off with a happy hour at Rosetta Hall and some of my favorite food at The Kitchen, family style.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Elaine Holland-Former Director Of Coaching at the Tony Robbins Institute
I dedicate this shout-out to Elaine Holland. Thank you for challenging me to own my worth and to stand in my power as a visionary leader of female entrepreneurs.
