We had the good fortune of connecting with DreSean Tripp and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi DreSean, why did you pursue a creative career?
I mainly chose to become a photographer because I’ve always liked taking pictures since I was in middle school. Once I learned how to edit I knew that I could be a photographer because I got a lot of people saying they are really good.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a photographer was challenging and scary at first, but once you do it and you hear the feedback on your photos it just boosts your confidence. It was kinda difficult at first making the transition from an iPhone camera to a Canon but it didn’t take me too long to get the hang of things. I want the world to know that I’m always open for a photoshoot and I will always make it work with my schedule. Im very dedicated when it comes to photography.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spots in Colorado would have to be some of the parking garages by college downtown. I also have some beautiful spots for portraits all around Colorado.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My brother and my family is where my photography really began to take off. I would do photoshoots with my cousins on the weekends just so I can get out there a little more.
