We had the good fortune of connecting with Edgar Quiroz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Edgar, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of La Familia Music Group is our team. Our success wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our team. We all have something in common that pushes us to the next level and thats our families. From writing, engineering, promoting and distributing we have a team that makes everything possible!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets us apart from other labels and artist is the diverse content we’re dropping. Our roster consist of raw Hip-Hop artist, Lo-Fi musicians, Mexican bands, and melodic rap. EQ, one of our artist is currently working on an EP that will feature Mexican melodies mixed with Hip-Hop drums and sounds. We mix genres together that you wouldn’t necessarily think of hearing together. We’re very exited to present this project to the world because we’ve been working endless days to put together a project that people are not use to. We’re mixing arguably the two most popular genres of music at the moment into one project. Also. the events we put together help us stand out, like and event we’re helping put together in Grand Junction, CO. that will donate food to immigrant families in Colorado. We try to do everything we can to improve and bring together communities around Colorado. It wasn’t easy getting to were we are today. It takes years of working late nights and early mornings to achieve the goals you want to accomplish. The biggest I’ve learned through out the years is to not give up and keep your eyes on the prize. We’re here to show the world that united we can bring people together with music.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If friends were around from out of state, i would definitely start by showing them the beauty Colorado has to offer. The amazing hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes, the outside beauty you can only get here. Ofcourse, if it was winter we would defiantly hit the slopes at the Telluride ski resort, Aspen and other ski resorts with unique terrain. We can’t forget about the incredible bars, food spots and venues like Red Rocks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There is a few people i need to give a shoutout to in my team. Starting with Micheal Evans, he’s our sound engineer and the one who never gets the credit he deserves. He’s a talented man with a passion for music and always eager to learn. With out his dedication to the company it would be hard to duplicate the professional sound that you hear coming out of our label. I’d love to shout out all of our artist (Enshiloh, LocDa1, Mini Mic, Miggy C & EQ) who work everyday to make their dream in the music industry come true! And of course everyone else who contributes to the label in one way or another.
