We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Hutchison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erin, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe that passion is the single most important factor to not only success, but to life in general. I think that when an individual’s passion is able to shine through, it allows everything they do to embody a little bit of their life and happiness. That joy not only makes each task and day more enjoyable, it also creates an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. I’m so incredibly fortunate to be able to imbue every day and undertaking with not only my passion for cars and everything automotive, but also with my passion for helping the community where and when I am able to. I so enjoy any chance that I have to be involved in the communities that I look to serve, from Parker specifically, to local car groups, to the non-profit organizations that I’m privileged to work with. I love having the opportunity to combine the aspects when possible to create an incredible impact for good. I especially adore sharing my passion with others. My absolute favorite times are when I have the chance to talk with a child about cars and hopefully foster passion for them as well. My own two daughters have grown up within the car community and definitely have their own favorite cars in our family collection. I’m beyond honored to sponsor a Junior Dragster as she pursues her own passion for racing. I truly believe that passion should be encouraged in all aspects of life.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I love having the opportunity to share significant pieces of automotive history with the public! The history of the car is so incredibly important to our society as a whole, and is often an aspect of history that is overlooked or taken for granted. One of my favorite artifacts to showcase is our 1920’s era Texaco gas station. The addition of gas stations such as this allowed for more widespread automotive journeys, which changed the entire landscape of travel. It is an absolute joy to share this history with not only museum guests, but event clients and attendees as well. Opening the museum up for special events is delightful for our team, as we’re able to see guests experience their own celebrations amongst the collection.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I absolutely love showing guests around Parker! Our little town is the greatest! I would insist on breakfast at Doug’s Diner, as well as sweet potato enchiladas at West Main. The scenery at Castlewood Canyon is my favorite and nothing beats a hike there on a beautiful day. For a more relaxing spot, I love getting a little treat at Kilwin’s and then hanging out at O’Brien Park after shopping on Mainstreet at The Local.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am the luckiest person to be surrounded by the greatest group of people, who support not only me, but all of my dreams as well! The entire Vehicle Vault team is outstanding and I love having the chance to spend time with them every day! Every team member is outstanding any insures that every guest interaction is superb. Most importantly, all of my friends and my entire family motivate me daily. My friends are the most inspiring and empowering group of women and my parents, partner, and daughters enable and encourage all aspects of my life.
