We had the good fortune of connecting with FreeDuhGreens! LLC and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi FreeDuhGreens!, what do you attribute your success to?
While creating our brand, we wanted to focus on the importance of providing resources to communities that served more than just smoothies and fruit bowls.
Aside from our brick and mortar shop, FreeDuhGreens! is a holistic hub for natural and local products, health and wellness support, nutritional education, and building a community that strives to simply be a healthier version of themselves.
Our platforms provide free information and assistance on lifestyle changes through dietary choices, diversity, mental health, and holistic wellbeing. We wanted to ensure that people felt connected, represented, and relatable to journeys similar to theirs.
Both Ceo and co-owner came from backgrounds of living in communities with food deserts and options severely lacking in vitamins and nutrients. In addition to toxic generational dining and stress stemming from historical events and societal oppression, we struggled with clean local produce and affordable options that fit our palets.
Our neighborhood educational system failed to teach families healthy habits. In return, our environment and the people around us are suffering from physical and mental-related complications.
Acknowledging these issues fueled our passion for bringing choices to communities we cared for.
FreeDuhGreens! acknowledges our mission of inspiring the world to create its own version of a healthy environment and lifestyle.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Fighting through our own past habits and generational health-related complications was the first step in our journeys. Most people don’t realize a lot of our health stems from childhood and generations before us. Your lifestyle, environment, past traumas, and eating habits all play hand in hand.
While exploring a more natural way to heal our bodies and mind, we focused on herbal medicines with plant-based dietary and physical changes. Our process of finding the correct nutrients while cutting many processed foods included juicing, smoothies, teas, growing our own herbs, and packing our own supplements. Also unlearning harmful habits from our past environments and realizing that community nutrition also contributed to our lifestyles.
Our 100% plant-based smoothie bar will be focusing on nutritional education, holistic/spiritual wellness, and community healing. FreeDuhGreens! is about creating an environment and lifestyle that is beneficial not only for self but for smaller cities that lack vitamin-packed and nutrient-dense foods.
We want to provide real options, support, activism, and wellness back to our planet.

Because we live in a smaller rural town, I would also take them into the main cities above us (Manitou Spring, Garden of the Gods, Denver areas) for shopping, and city sightseeing. We do have art, comedy, and music festivals mostly in the summer and fall months that many come into the city for as well.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To everyone truly! We give thanks to all of our supportive family and friends for believing in the type of passionate beings we are. Our moms especially have been proud of us for our dedication.
To our past and present local businesses and communities for being excited about our opening! And to the SBDC workshops and connections, we’ve made during the process that has been a huge step in our foundation.
