We had the good fortune of connecting with Garrett Peck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Garrett, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
PexPeppers teaches the world about chiles and their uses. From the very beginning this was basically my only true goal with this company. To teach people!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
PexPeppers Hot Sauce is a small batch hot sauce company that focuses on sauces for both the novice and the experienced chilehead. We excel in balancing heat and flavor; our sauces aren’t hot just for the sake of being hot.

We originally started as an online company through the encouragement of close friends and family. Over the past 10 years have been working towards finding a home base which we finally found in Pueblo, Colorado.

A lot of work has been poured into this business and it shows. We now offer a gamut of 20 total flavors of hot sauces with new products being in development all the time.

Some of the lesson’s we’ve learned along the way is that organization is key. You don’t get good at it fast, but you need to keep at it! Also, your customers are what keep you fed so listen to them!

We want the world to know that you can count on us to give you the best hot sauce experience of your life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you ever visit Pueblo, you’ll definitely need to check out the Pueblo Reservoir. It is such a beautiful landscape!

If you like animals, the Pueblo Zoo is an awesome place to check out all sorts of creatures.

One place you need to eat at is Bingo Burger, it’s a local burger joint with tons of tasty burger options.

Come during late September and you’ll see why I moved here, The Pueblo Chile Festival. It is a giant festival where they roast Pueblo chiles, have food vendors from all across the state, and a lot more. You really need to check it out

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My grandfather, Dr. Thomas Peck. He always saw the potential in me and my goals. He taught me to never give up on your dreams.
