We had the good fortune of connecting with Gary Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gary, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to own my art and not have any excuses. It was always a dream to own a production company and be independent.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are completely focused on producing digital media right now. We have an album out now and a podcast. We would love to provide more audio based material in the future as well. We’re in talks with some comedians and writers about adapting material or recording it as well. Audio plays are in the wheelhouse. That’s an exciting prospect. We haven’t filmed anything lately due to Covid-19 but we are committed to finding a safe way to make films in the future as well. From time to time we will rotate or Etsy shop as well. We’ve sold a few collectibles in the shop and they will continue to rotate. Digital media and custom prints are also coming. It’s exciting to always be working on something. We’re about creating.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m taking you to the mountains and we’re going to drink a slough of beers from any of the fine breweries here in the city. We’re not returning for a week and we’re not returning any calls.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everyone I work with deserves a shout out. We’ve had to shift gears recently to entirely digital media and we have an Etsy store as well. Megan Elisabeth Kelly deserves a shoutout for her help making our first comedy album, Now That’s What I call Sh**ty Music. It’s available in digital stores. I also have to give a shoutout to Gian Carlo, he’s a co-host and co-producer for our new weekly podcast, Unemployed Commentators, that is available for streaming on digital platforms and on the Best Worst Cantina youtube channel as well. The show is about two dudes watching classic sports. We either feel total nostalgia and can talk about the sport in depth or we have absolutely no idea what we are talking about. We also have guests on from time to time and we’re excited for the new guests that will be coming on the show. I would also like to give a shout out to our educators coming back to school right now. They are trying to figure out a ton and in many ways are trying to figure out how to reinvent the wheel with online education. Most importantly for our community members that have supported Best Worst Cantina and myself through social media and in listening, watching, or sharing our material.
