We had the good fortune of connecting with Halston Trabucco and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Halston, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
For me, success is living true to my purpose. I always aim to have a positive impact on the lives of people around me. I am so lucky to get to work in the cannabis industry. It is a space in which I can fulfill my passion for the plant and I find myself inspired by every day. In turn, I use this fuel to try to think and act in ways that inspire others, particularly other female leaders and women that are up-and-coming in their careers.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Put simply, the cannabis industry is all that we do. And we’ve been doing it for more than a decade. The Hoban Law Group (HLG) is a full-service commercial cannabis industry law firm, serving both the regulated marijuana and the industrial hemp industry. The firm is recognized across the country and globe for its ability to provide solutions to highly complex issues faced by cannabis businesses and the industry’s supply chain. We take our role as service providers extremely seriously, and always strive to produce high-quality work for clients so that we may collectively advance and grow the global cannabis industry.
The HLG family of attorneys are industry pioneers responsible for developing legal strategies and advancing litigation in critical areas that have contributed to the growth of this nascent industry. As the Chief Marketing Officer at Hoban Law Group, I am responsible for leading marketing initiatives and communication efforts, including media relations, brand strategy, social strategy, and content strategy. Additionally, I produce The Hoban Minute podcast and manage sponsorships, events, charitable contributions, and marketing training.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came into town for the weekend, first we’d head to a Colorado dispensary to experience all the amazing products that are available recreationally. After we got the goods, we’d head to Golden to grab dinner at the Buffalo Rose on Main Street and listen to the live music on the patio. After enjoying some burgers, beers, and tunes, we’d stroll down and grab ice cream at Golden Sweets. Munching on that cold goodness, we’d snag some chairs outside and people watch while indulging our sweet tooth. After a solid evening in Golden, we’d head up to Red Rocks for the rest of the night to immerse ourselves in music, hopefully, some old school, golden-era hip-hop vibes.
The next morning, we’d wake up, make brunch at home, and enjoy a “Real Dill” Bloody Mary on the deck. Once we’re ready to take on the day, we’d head west to Summit County, ride mountain bikes around Lake Dillon, and enjoy lunch at the Island Grill at the Frisco Bay Marina. I grew up in Summit County and love taking friends back home to experience the beauty of the mountains and the endless activities that are available in the high country during any season!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shout-out to Bob Hoban! Bob has truly been an inspiration in my career and my personal life. I have the pleasure of working alongside Bob on a regular basis and the way he presents himself every day is admirable. He will always take time to listen to my ideas and provide feedback in a way that makes me think bigger and out of the box.
Bob has made a huge impact on my life, and I am so grateful for his encouragement and mentorship!
