We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Plush and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Through my own mental health struggles I found microdosing. It completely changed my life. As someone who has been in the mental health profession, I knew it was something I wanted to share with others. The concentrated relief that individuals are getting from combining structured programs with plant medicine is huge. I feel honored and so grateful to share this healing modality with others.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The best way to describe my professional career is Veteran, Social Worker, and Plant Medicine Facilitator. I started my professional career as a Social Worker. I focused primarily in settings with children and Veterans. I worked in a number of different areas of social work but I enjoy children and family systems the most. Additionally, I spent most of my Military career as a Army Medical Officer. I deployed in 2019 and returned in 2020 during the start of COVID-19. That is when I found microdosing which ended up leading to my current business. I graduated in February as Certified Psychedelic Coach which I earned from Third Wave, a company dedicated to plant medicine education . I think ultimately making the switch was a professional evolution. I think as a society we are in a place where we are ready to try something else. Traditional talk therapy is an amazing tool but what I am seeing especially from my clients is that at some point talking isn’t enough. The act of creating the change within yourself with the help of this medicine is what people are craving. I think one of the biggest lessons along the way for me has been the power of just acting. Putting one foot in front of the other and making intuitively guided decisions is the next move. Trusting the process and deliberate action even if it doesn’t always make sense.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a Colorado Springs native so I am definitely partial to the West Side of Colorado Springs. I think anytime someone comes to Colorado Springs, they need to see Garden of the Gods. I would start with a sunrise hike of Garden of the Gods, followed by coffee at Building Three Coffee in the Lincoln Center. I would follow that up with lunch at Shugas and window shop in Old Colorado City. We would have dinner at Monse’s Pupuseria and finish our day with live music at Lulus. We are so lucky to have so any cool spots in Colorado Springs but those are definitely my top spots!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The Indigenous People who have been using this medicine for thousands of years, mental health professionals, psychedelic researchers, and my family who supports me.
