We had the good fortune of connecting with Havyn Hughes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Havyn, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I contribute my success to being authentic, it can be very intimidating and hard when you first start on your journey to this career, but always be true to who you are! I’ve always had a passion for people, I love meeting people and learning about their stories. I was first introduced to the real estate industry in 2019 and the more I learned, the more I knew I had found what truly made my heart happy. It is the honor of a lifetime to be trusted by my clients, and I will never take that responsibility lightly.

What should our readers know about your business?
My family moved to Colorado Springs in Summer 2019, and that Fall I started working with a real estate company helping plan events and networking with local businesses. My job was to build a referral community for military families to have as a resource and guide to Colorado Springs. I found so much joy in helping people, and connecting them with the resources us as military desperately need when we have to pick up our homes every few years. This prompted me to get my agents license and stand alongside fellow service families during one of the biggest decisions they will make during a PCS move! There is no greater feeling than meeting someone by chance, and becoming life long friends. My clients are like family, and I never take their trust in me for granted.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Colorado Springs is by far my favorite of the cities we’ve lived in! Summers in the Springs are amazing. A perfect week of fun starts with brunch at Urban Egg downtown, the most delicious food (and mimosas) and you will definitely not leave hungry! Go explore Garden of the Gods, or take the pups out to Red Rocks and let them run! Zip lining through the gorgeous views, or one of the art galleries in Manitou! Take a drive up Pikes Peak, SevenFalls or go walk downtown Pueblo and shop! Colorado Mountain brewery is a must for dinner!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have been a military spouse for almost a decade now, and I – without a doubt – would be nowhere without my family. My husband and my babies are the reason I’ve had the courage to do this and never give up.
