We had the good fortune of connecting with Hilary Bresner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hilary, how does your business help the community?
As a therapist I hope I’m helping my clients by providing prospective, support and guidance during our sessions and even after the sessions. My goal is to touch as many people as possible and help them fine answers to their questions and provide compassion when needed.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always found that one of the most important missions in my life is to be a good friend and listener. I work hard everyday in all of my interactions to help make the world a kinder and more positive place whether it be at work or with my family I strive to make the world a better place every day. It is a privilege to help people in their time of need and I take it very seriously. I feel honored that the clients have selected me to talk to and process their experiences. Together we can gain understanding into their relationships and find solutions that work best for them.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a mother to two children under the age of seven I would be lying if I said I knew all of the hot spots to go to. I would take them to the mountains for some R and R which would include live music, spa and fantastic food. I always enjoy researching the best restaurants for local cuisine. If we were staying locally I would be taking them for sushi, Thai food and my favorite spot, Uncle. We would play tennis and make sure to get a Pilates class or two in. We would take the dog to the dog park and make sure to get in a nice Wash Park stroll. I would make sure we had a day in Cherry Creek.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say my mother is the reason I am a social worker. She always believed that I had a gift to help people. I would say my friend and colleague, Jessica is the reason I stopped getting in my own way and opened my own practice. She has been a mentor and friend and I’m lucky to have her support.
