Hi Hustle, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
As the founder of Vocal Leaf, I drew inspiration from my own experiences as an artist. Recognizing the importance of maintaining vocal health in my profession, I sought to create a product that could prepare, soothe, and repair my vocal cords whenever they felt strained or sore. This personal need sparked the idea for Vocal Leaf Tea, a blend designed specifically for individuals who rely on their voices for their livelihoods.

The idea for Vocal Leaf stemmed from a deeply personal place – my own experiences as an artist. As someone who relies heavily on their voice in their profession, I’ve always been acutely aware of the importance of maintaining vocal health. However, I often found myself struggling to find products that could effectively address the strain and soreness I experienced after prolonged use of my voice. It was this realization that sparked the idea for Vocal Leaf Tea.

Drawing on my background as an artist and my passion for wellness, I set out to create a product that could not only soothe and repair vocal cords but also help prepare them for the demands of performance. Vocal Leaf Tea is the culmination of that vision – a carefully crafted blend of ingredients designed specifically to support vocal health and enhance overall well-being.

At Vocal Leaf, we pride ourselves on being more than just a tea company – we’re a celebration of voice, wellness, and community. What sets us apart is our unwavering dedication to supporting vocal health and empowering individuals to elevate their voices, whether they’re singers, speakers, or simply tea enthusiasts.

I’m incredibly proud of the journey we’ve undertaken to get to where we are today. It hasn’t always been easy – building a business from the ground up comes with its fair share of challenges. However, through perseverance, innovation, and a deep-rooted passion for our mission, we’ve overcome obstacles and continued to grow.

One of the key lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of adaptability and resilience. In the face of adversity, we’ve learned to pivot, innovate, and find creative solutions to navigate challenges.

What I want the world to know about Vocal Leaf is that our brand is built on authenticity, integrity, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact. We’re not just selling tea – we’re promoting well-being, fostering community, and empowering individuals to find their voice and embrace it fully. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve got quite a few favorite places in Denver, especially when it comes to food. I’d definitely take my friend to Reggae Pot, an authentic Jamaican restaurant in Denver, for dinner. For drinks, Avanti’s Rooftop is where I love to hang out. And when I’m craving something sweet, Nothing But Bundt’s is my go-to for dessert. As for the nightlife, it really depends on the day, but Shisha Leafa Lounge is often my choice for some natural shisha and hookah!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
IIn addition to my own efforts, I would like to extend sincere gratitude and recognition to several individuals and organizations who have played instrumental roles in bringing Vocal Leaf to life. First and foremost, I would like to dedicate this to my family – their unwavering support and encouragement have been the driving force behind this journey.

I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to my talented tea sommelier, for her invaluable expertise and dedication in crafting the perfect blends for Vocal Leaf. Additionally, I am immensely grateful to Kat who designed the logo, and Jay from The Hype Magazine for his outstanding work in enhancing our logo and designing the packaging, elevating the brand to new heights.
