We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackson Nies and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jackson, what is the most important factor behind your success?
One thing I pride our company on is our honesty with our clients and customers. Honesty and integrity is critical to having a good relationship with your client. If they feel they can trust you at all times, you will naturally become an a trusted advisor to them and they will come to you over your competitors.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an INFJ personality type, I have a love for people and art and struggle between being introverted and being around people to lift them up with music and art. I also have a 50/50 split left brain and right brain. So I absolutely love art/music and math and logic. That comes in handy when being a software engineer because I can write all of the logic and code, and make it beautiful with the user interface. I also enjoy writing music and oil painting landscapes. I believe this benefits my professional career because you typically don’t get a one stop shop with a software developer. You usually have to augment that position with a designer. Being a one stop software shop of 1 really helped with the costs as we started up the company. The biggest challenge was the speed of development because we had so many projects coming in, I struggled with keeping up. We were able to hire a fantastic dev team and design team because of it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Denver is such a fun place full of adventures waiting to happen. Since I am a foodie, a lot of the trip would consist of the culinary experiences Denver has to offer. Monday: Head into downtown Denver and check-in to the Brown Palace. They have the best champagne brunch at Ellyngtons. That night we could also relax and have a cigar and scotch at the Churchill Bar in the hotel. Tuesday we would cruise out to hike in Boulder, Chautauqua Park. We would then do a little tour up the Pearl Street mall and grab a drink and dinner at Black Belly’s. They have amazing charcutier boards and excellent cocktail mixologist. Wednesday I would take them to the many different markets in Denver. We would visit the Milk market for some mimosas and then head over to Union Station’s Stoic and Genuine for some fresh seafood. There is also the Denver market and then head over to Bacon Social for a bacon flight. Thursday we would go speak easy hopping to all of my favorites. Top of the list is Green Russel which has an amazing atmosphere and you enter through a pie shop. Also Death and Co which features the Penicillin cocktail, using the same recipe as where it was created in early 2000 at Milk and Honey in NYC. Then we would cruise over to Williams and Graham for the BEST mixologist in Denver. Sky is the limit here. Friday I would take them to my favorite steak place in the area. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle. They now have a newly remodeled cigar room with an amazing humidor. Their dry aged steaks are to die for and they have excellent addons such as sea scallops and lobster tails.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wonderful family has always believed in me even when I didn’t. My mom and dad gave me encouragement when things would go sideways. My older sister would give me wisdom and thought through things logically with me. My younger sister would show love and positive vibes at all times even in dark hours where we thought we had to close shop. And last but not least, my fiance’ for always being my rock when things get tough and talking through things with me. Thank you Mark, Bonnie, Nicole, Jessica and Jennifer for all you do for me and my adventure!
