We had the good fortune of connecting with Deborah (Debbie) Jacobson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deborah (Debbie), we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
It was a huge risk thirty years ago to start my Psycho-Spiritual practice, in the middle of the midwest no less, where no one had ever heard of anything like that! But, I had invested money in my education and music equipment and we renovated our house to accommodate my business. I was projected on quite a bit, a lot of people thought I was crazy, but I knew that this was my life’s work and my passion, so I kept going because I knew that I could really help people. I ended up having a fairly large clientele, before moving to Colorado six years ago. It was a struggle to start over, because my business was primarily word of mouth, social media wasn’t ever that beneficial for me, mainly because the work I did was mostly known on the coasts and in Europe. But, I have established myself and over the last six years have developed more skills, which are more understandable to the mainstream public now.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My passion and what I’m most proud of is having a truly deep and connected relationship with my clients. I have created a sacred space for anyone who is seeking emotional healing, spiritual awakening, and inner transformation. Path to Transcendence is a path of self discovery and direct knowledge, through primarily working with the subconscious, where a profound, accelerated transformation can take place. Our conscious mind is not fully aware of what is lurking below the surface in consciousness, but those hidden, mysterious aspects are influencing our life, our perspective of the world, and our relationships. My goal is to unravel the story and patterns which keep repeating themselves throughout a lifetime. Once these patterns have been experienced, expressed, and released, you can begin to live as your true authentic self without the old, worn out limitations which have defined you. You will find “arms” of compassion and acceptance within my space. It wasn’t easy overcoming the challenges of working in an alternative style of healing when I started thirty years ago, there was a lot of skepticism, so I had to persevere, because I knew how profound and life changing the work was, but thankfully the world has changed a lot in the past thirty years!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would go hiking for sure! I love Booth Trail Falls, the Fourth of July Trail, and Alberta Falls Trail. We live near Boulder, so a stroll down Pearl Street, shopping, and lunch or dinner are always on the list. Chautauqua, in Boulder is also a great place to go for a concert or movie and a local hike. There’s an excellent Thai restaurant in Louisville called Busaba, which we love, and Parma, an Italian restaurant, also in Louisville. And, of course, Red Rocks Ampitheatre, seeing a concert there is a breathtaking experience with the brilliant colors reflecting the red rocks as the sun sets and seeing the city lights of Denver in the background. Larimer Square with great restaurants and shops is always a favorite for out of town travelers. The Green Russell is a cool, underground speakeasy with fantastic cocktails…..you have to enter through Russell’s Smokehouse and ask for a table in The Green Russell.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to honor my first Spiritual teacher, Joyah French, who almost thirty years ago, encouraged me to take a different path in life, to explore the possibility of becoming a spiritual healer and she “aggressively nudged” me to attend a Mystery School with Jacquelyn Small of Eupsychia, Inst. The minute I walked through the doorway into that mystical world, I knew I was home. For twenty-five years, Jacquelyn Small became my primary mentor and teacher. Another teacher who influenced my life in a profound way is Evolutionary Astrologer, Steven Forrest who is not only an astrologer, but a scholar and a poet. Linda Backman, Ph.D., also a teacher of mine, founder of Ravenheart Center, a training facility for Past Life and Between Lives Regression. Linda Backman had originally been a student of Michael Newton, “Destiny of Souls” and “Journey of Souls” and then co-taught with him. She has now evolved his work and has found many new discoveries about how our Souls operate.
