We had the good fortune of connecting with Jana DONOHOE and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jana, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a career in interior design because I have always been passionate about creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also function seamlessly to enhance people’s lives. There’s something incredibly satisfying about knowing that the work I do can positively impact someone’s daily life.

Helping others through interior design goes beyond just creating aesthetically pleasing spaces; it’s about understanding the needs and preferences of my clients and translating that into a design that not only reflects their personality but also improves their quality of life. Whether it’s optimizing space for better functionality, incorporating elements that promote relaxation and well-being, or simply bringing joy through thoughtful design choices, I find immense fulfillment in knowing that my work contributes to making someone’s home a more comfortable and enjoyable place to be.

Interior design is a powerful tool for improving the way people live, and being able to use my creativity and expertise to help others create spaces that they love and that truly enhance their lives is incredibly rewarding. Whether it’s a cozy family home, a productive workspace, or a serene retreat, the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives through design is what motivates and inspires me every day.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from others in the interior design industry is my unwavering commitment to creating spaces that not only exude beauty but also prioritize functionality and well-being. I take immense pride in my ability to transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary havens that reflect the unique personalities and lifestyles of my clients.

One of the most exciting and honorable projects I recently had the privilege of working on was decorating the White House’s West Wing. Being entrusted with such a significant project was a humbling opportunity that I will always cherish.

Getting to where I am today business-wise hasn’t been easy. Like any entrepreneurial journey, I faced numerous challenges along the way. However, I firmly believe that perseverance and determination are key to overcoming obstacles. By staying focused on my vision, continuously honing my skills, and adapting to changes in the industry, I was able to push through the hard times and achieve my goals.

Through it all, the most important lesson I’ve learned is the value of resilience and the importance of never giving up on my dreams. Every setback has only fueled my determination to succeed and has ultimately made me stronger and more resilient as a designer and business owner.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I genuinely care about the happiness and well-being of my clients. I believe that everyone deserves to live stress-free and beautifully in their homes, and I am dedicated to helping them achieve that. My passion for creating functional, harmonious, and aesthetically pleasing spaces stems from a genuine desire to enhance the lives of those I work with. Whether it’s designing a cozy family room, a productive home office, or a serene retreat, my ultimate goal is to create spaces that bring joy, comfort, and inspiration to my clients’ lives.
