We had the good fortune of connecting with Janice Kerbel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Janice, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We initially launched Unstable Culture as a YouTube channel to support our mental well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. As we progressed, we ventured into photography and discovered a way to fund our photography endeavors through 3D printing. Our journey with 3D printing began with creating and selling items we enjoyed. In November 2022, we held our first show where we showcased and sold our creations. This event opened doors for us, leading to opportunities in various markets and shows. Gradually, we noticed a recurring trend in our clientele’s preferences, prompting us to tailor our offerings to each specific show we attended. We catered more and more to the geek culture, and as a result, we started receiving requests for larger projects. People began asking for life-size creations, which further expanded our portfolio.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets our 3D printing company apart from others is our commitment to catering to a diverse clientele. Aside from our inventory of fun and unique printed items, we also specialize in providing customized printing services. This includes the precise recreation of functional parts and the production of specific projects tailored to our client’s needs.

Our expansive range of photography services encompasses everything from wedding and family photography to cosplay and green screen photography. With our comprehensive offerings, we aim to be a one-stop destination for all your 3D printing and photography needs.

We are also adding new services later this year where we can scan people, and objects, and print them up and also adding 3d chocolate printing services as well.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend to my favorite restaurants, such as Rodizio Grill, and Katsu Raman, and take them to places in the mountains that I like to visit in Golden, Central City, and Black Hawk.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Cap for Kids is an organization that we greatly admire and believe deserves recognition for their exceptional contributions to the community. They go above and beyond to assist those in need, making a significant impact. As a nonprofit organization, they have our unwavering support. We have proudly donated our products to their charity fundraisers and contests, as they align perfectly with our mission. The people behind Cap for Kids are truly remarkable individuals to be around and collaborate with.
