Meet Jason Vaughn | Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Vaughn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Consistency is one of the biggest factors behind the success of Embro Industries. There is a wide scope of talent and skill that you have to get familiar with and the only way to do that is being consistent with the process.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Embro Industries is an independent networking chain and agency for the vision and minds of young black creators, in effort to promote and expand their existing and launching art styles through creative direction. Through the years I have been able to oversee these projects and have them come to life. Through it all, I am most proud of how we’ve grown through community. I believe creatives are in the industry to change the media and culture of society. Depending on the concepts and art form they use they can translate a lot of meaningful messages. As a community being able to recognize that and use it together is powerful and I am excited to see how far it will go.
Professionally I got here through a large amount of networking opportunities and putting myself in the position to expand my visions with others and create. It as not and still never is easy because your going against yourself. In the creative industry, the competition comes from your inner creative. How far are you willing to go to make your work make a statement?
I want the world to be open to different perspectives that aren’t just yours, continue to think outside the box and spread positivity. All the work we do at Embro is about empowerment, so can we continue to empower our society of upcoming creatives?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Colorado I would take my best friend to view house, LookOut Mountain, and a good drive around Downtown. I wouldn’t have it in any particular order because I go where the day takes me. I think the best food would have to be tacos or a good burger.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When I do projects through creative direction the key part I have is to direct. I think depending on the concept of the project everyone has a key role to play. But it’s about the people who don’t get a chance to perform their role because they are overshadowed by others in the industry. So I dedicate my shout to all of the creatives who are rising to understand the position they have in the creative process and how important they are because without all of the roles used to come together, there would be no final vision to the projects I create.
