We had the good fortune of connecting with Tony Vincente and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tony, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always enjoyed creating beautiful things. It started with creating fine art and thanks to a great opportunity from Shop Vida, I moved to creating garments. When I became a top-seller I knew that it was time to try it under my own brand and in 2018 the Rossario George lifestyle brand was born.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Please tell us more about your art. Rossario George is a true lifestyle brand. We created elegant and timeless collections of ready-to-wear, couture (for women and men), 5-star rated Leaping Bunny cruelty-free cosmetics and so much more.
We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about.
What sets us apart is that we keep audiences guessing. I view collections as wearable art; like fine art, they tell a story. It’s the excitement of seeing these collections that make me proud. People come to our shows so excited…It’s a wonderful feeling.
How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
The Rossario George brand made strides in the first year. We were in Vogue and GQ the first year in business. Having said that, our growth was smoother than most would have, but it wasn’t easy, we still had to hustle and put in the work.
What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
My biggest lesson is to never give up. Your idea was given to you by the universe for a reason. Stay the course and trust that it will work out.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? We are more than fashion. We are more than beauty. We are a lifestyle. Rossario George is all about living your best life as affordable as possible.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them?
Washington State is absolutely beautiful. There are so many places to go, but the place that I find the most comfort is Point Ruston in Tacoma, Washington.
Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your view what are some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out?
So once my guest(s) get comfortable, we would head to the Point Ruston Farmers Market and do a bit of shopping and enjoy the great restaurants on the waterfront. The rest of the week would be heading into Seattle and walking the Pike Place Market, taking a ferry to one of the many islands around us, heading to Bellevue for luxury shopping and of course having a truly spectacular meal at my home.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout-out to everyone who works, has worked for Rossario George. Where we are today wouldn’t be possible without your input and hard work. In addition, I also want to shout out to every client of the brand, your support means everything and we would be nothing without it.
