Meet Jayna Swan | International Relationship Expert & Intimacy Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jayna Swan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jayna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was a college dropout working as an executive secretary for an immigration law attorney from 8:30 am-5 pm and then at a mom-and-pop Italian restaurant on weeknights. I remember changing from heels and a pencil skirt with a blouse & blazer to Black pants a white button-up, an apron & Black sneakers to serve tables. On my weekends I worked at a Macaroni Grill where I made much more as it was normally slammed. Often working doubles closing shifts for more money. Then it happened out of nowhere, I developed a Bartholin gland cyst & my entire life changed in an instant.

It was coming out of the first major surgery that I lost an amazing mentor of mine to a car accident. The experience was a wake-up call to live life TODAY! so I asked myself, what can I make money doing that took little to no start-up cost, just my time & effort. I started a commercial/residential cleaning company. I ran that company for 8 years before transitioning to coaching full-time The Swan Academy came about because I have an affinity for movement. I started a dance company for adult dance classes in 2015. It failed. So in 2016, I pivoted into health & fitness coaching. In 2019 I pivoted to coaching on relationships & intimacy. Then I made a transition in 2020 to digital-only, incorporating other aspects of my knowledge, and wisdom that I have on: Relationships, nutrition, communication, energy, hormones, mindset, and self-love. I began working with women on letting go of the limiting beliefs and negative emotions that are holding them back from experiencing more pleasure in their lives. We also explored ways to drop into and express their femininity.
In July of 2021, I went viral on IG with over 8 million new accounts seeing my content over 45 days! At the end of October, I got hit with an IG ban and lost the ability to go live as well as the viral momentum.
.. for “sexual content” as a Sex Educator. Go figure.
In the meantime, I created a new course the Modern-Day Gentleman for the IOK new followers, 80% male and 20% female, that I now had joined my community.
My mission has always been to educate, elevate, and empower people from around the world to live happy, healthy, horny life.
Now, I am coaching high-level clients internationally. My specialty is marriages that have lost the flame of desire over the decades, due to kids, and other hardships experienced over the years.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business journey has been anything but easy. It took me 5 years to finally find my area of true expertise & and another 3 years to hone the skills necessary to get my clients consistent and reliable results. The way I was able to overcome the obstacles in my path was through maintaining a curious mindset and continuously chasing knowledge. I also gave away my coaching services for a long time, just to develop the skills and confidence needed to become successful. Those experiences taught me SO MUCH! If you are going to fail, do it fast and fail forward, learning from every experience. More than my education, my life experiences are what have truly given me the power of insight and wisdom. I myself have been in toxic, abusive (physically, mentally, emotionally), and controlling relationships. I have gone through 7 surgeries on my vulva over the last 10-years which gave me an opportunity to learn more about the female anatomy and arousal process than most doctors even have. This is where my passion for female pleasure and comprehensive sexual education stems from as I myself had to make the journey from pain to pleasure over the years. I have seen inside the homes of every financial bracket from $30,000 a year to $10,000,000+ a year, asking questions and observing the relationship struggles/habits of every type of relationship. I have worked with men, women, LGBTQIA, and everything in between. My experiences in healing my own trauma as well as being trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programing, Mental & Emotional Release®, and Hypnosis have given me the empathy and insight to be able to help men and women process through their deepest sexual traumas.
If I were to boil down what I do into a few sentences it would be… I help people let go of their past and develop a sense of unshakable worthiness, by equipping them with the skills to better connect and communicate in relationships from the boardroom to the bedroom.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was to visit we would spend much of our time laying out in the sun by the pool, going for hikes in the local area, shopping for fresh local produce to make some homemade soups, attend a heels dance class at the local studio, and hit the gym for some fitness fun.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success is only my success because of the hundreds of people who have helped me learn and grow along the way. While there are many notable mentions, there is one person who has played the biggest role in my growth, Thomas Hynes. I met Tom in late 2014, as I was boldly going into businesses to pitch my cleaning services. He hired me on the spot and that one moment in time changed everything for me. After 6 months of working as a contractor for Tom cleaning/managing different properties of his and many lengthy conversations later, we evolved into a romantic relationship. Now 8 years later this man is why I am the woman I am today.
Not only is he the man of my dreams, but he continues to lead the way inspiring me and showing me that anything is possible in life, so long as you stay focused and work smart.
Tom told me in 2015 when we officially became a couple, “You no longer have to work if you don’t want to. I want you to build the life you desire, whatever that means to you.” That’s when I founded The Swan Academy.
Since then he has been my biggest cheerleader and support system. He has invested in me financially helping me obtain 11 certifications & attend numerous high-level networking events. He has supported me mentally and emotionally when business gets tough and doesn’t go the way I had planned. He has helped me pick myself back up over and over again. He has given me a place to do business (turning our pool time room into a home studio). He has taught me accounting, how to plan for taxes, and sales skills. He constantly reminds me of how amazing I am and that it’s not about how much money I make, but who I become in the process. He has watched me evolve (pivot) my business over and over again. No matter what he has always seen the potential in me and encourages me to chase my vision of the future.
Without this man in my life, I would probably still be cleaning homes/medical offices/construction sites with no real direction or comprehension that my dreams can very well become a reality.
