Meet Jeff Garnett | Entrapreneur and Tattoo Removal Expert

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Garnett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe that if you’re not willing to take risks, you will severely limit your upside potential. That does not mean become a reckless cowboy. Risk can be assessed, analyzed, measured and managed. In business, you can utilize skills to reduce risk. Alex Hermozi talks about how with the right skills and practice, you switch from being the gambler into becoming the house.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My early career was in finance. At age 19 I was hired by the “wolf of wall st.” I later moved to “legitimate” Wall Street where I worked until my late 30’s.

Ive always loved tattoos and have been getting them since I turned 18. in 2008, I started researching laser tattoo removal as a customer. I wanted to remove my old tattoos to make room for nicer new ones. my initial consumer experience was not good. this made me aware of a tremendous business opportunity.

In 2012 my ex wife an I opened our first clinic, Clean Slate Laser in white plains, ny. over the next few years we built it into the #1 tattoo removal company non NY with 7 locations. in 2021 we were acquired by the largest tattoo removal company in the world (Removery). I went to work for them initially but it was not a good fit. I left Removery in Nov 2022. In Oct of 2023,

In oct 2023, I partnered with my good friend Lorenzo Kunze to open a new and exciting tattoo removal business, Inkless in Lakewood, CO

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I just moved to Colorado so In this case I am the friend. So far I want to visit Pikes Peak, some of the Springs and more of Colorados natural beauty.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Recently I have learned a lot from Alex Hermozi. His books and online content are lean with specific implementation steps. They have provided me with higher execution value compared to a lot of the vague conceptual business books out there.
