We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Stoneking and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We started our business at the beginning of the pandemic. It was not planned; I had been laid-off, and was getting contacted by some former regulars that I had met as a restaurant chef to see if I could help them with food for their special events. In those uncertain times, there were still very special milestones and occasions that were not always something that was not guaranteed to come around again or be able to be celebrated much later. Things like 80th birthdays and 50th anniversaries. So while health and safety were a major concern, it still was very important for people to be able to celebrate these events in some way, and important to us to make sure that they had great memorable meals to match the moment. What better place than in the safety of their own homes and social circles? We took every precaution possible and created a very minimal contact and socially-distanced service style. We wound up mixing up several styles of service throughout our service to meet the client where they were with food while keeping a safe distance. Now that things have gotten a little better, some of the modifications have gone away, but others have stayed and become our style. We noticed that certain components of the style are actually great and help create a much more seamless and interactive service style that we would have otherwise probably leaned toward.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a passionate group of culinarians and service-focused individuals that use our talents, skills, and passion, coupled with years of high-end restaurant industry experience to help our customers enjoy the best dining experiences possible, in the comfort and convenience of their own homes.

We are a small, but scrappy, company that believes our clients’ tables are where they will create their most memorable experiences. The best meals do not have to be experienced at a restaurant. We strive to provide top-tier food, service, and experience in our customers’ own homes, so they can focus on what’s most important – spending time with the people they care about most.

We often hear after cooking for our customers that it was the most special and memorable meal. While our focus is on delivering great food and seamless service, we know that the real reason for this result is the stressless, hands-off experience that we allow our customers to enjoy. They actually create the “memorable experiences”, we just do the busy work allowing them to be more present in their moments.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
HopAlley, for bites. Tom’s Seafood and Specialty & Sam’s Meats, Leevers Locavore to check out and get food to cook.

Meow Wolf is a great place to spend a hot day out of the sun.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Tom’s Seafood and Specialty in Lakewood, CO. They have been extremely supportive to us, and a pillar of standards and high-quality seafood and ingredients.
