We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer And Cody Jeanneret and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer and Cody, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Cody: I’m from a small town in Wyoming, where life was simple but full of lessons that shaped who I am. Growing up there, if something broke or needed doing, you either figured out how to fix it yourself or went without — which taught me responsibility and problem-solving early on.
Hard work wasn’t optional; it was just part of everyday life. Whether it was helping around the house, committing to sports, or just finding ways to stay entertained, I learned the value of perseverance and following through on commitments. Quitting simply wasn’t part of the vocabulary.

Living in a rural area also meant being creative with how I spent my time. I developed a love for the outdoors and learned how to explore and appreciate what was around me. That sense of adventure taught me to be resourceful and self-sufficient.

Above all, family was at the center of everything. We relied on each other, showed up for one another, and that strong sense of loyalty and support has stayed with me.

Jenn: I’m originally from LA, where I grew up in the suburbs of the San Fernando Valley. I’m the oldest of four children, and we were raised in a faith-based home. My upbringing prioritized excellence, doing all of my work as unto the Lord, and enjoying the process of work itself. That foundation of faith and discipline has shaped the way I approach both life and business today. To this day, I genuinely enjoy work.

From a young age, I had a love for beauty and design. I started drawing wedding dresses at ten years old, and I’ve always gravitated to things that were well-designed structurally. That interest led me to double major in design and merchandising. I realized early on that creativity came naturally to me, but business skills did not. So, I wanted a career in merchandising at first to develop those skills. That eventually led me to Neiman Marcus, where I worked in the beauty buying offices and eventually more technical roles supporting the larger buying organization for almost nine years.

I’ve also always been a people person. I love asking insightful questions, which is a big part of how I interact with clients today.

I believe there is purpose in every season if we keep our hearts open and are willing to learn and adapt. That has certainly been true for me. Now, when I think about building brands and websites, it feels almost full circle. I get to bring together creative instinct, business acumen, and people skills. That combination is what makes our work both strategic and beautiful, and I believe it is critical for long-term success.

What should our readers know about your business?
We like to say we’re a husband-and-wife duo who actually enjoy working together, which already sets us apart. At Founder’s Mirror, we believe your website should be your hardest-working employee, selling for you 24/7 while showing the world who you are with clarity and style.

What makes us unique is that we both come from backgrounds in operations and strategy, which makes our creative work that much stronger. We don’t just design brands and websites that look beautiful and feel authentic; we build systems that are streamlined and strategic so founders can feel confident they are attracting the right clients and leading them through a journey that converts. Cody’s project management background brings a sharp sense of order to every project, while Jennifer’s background in luxury retail and design informs the overall aesthetic. It’s a little like a home makeover show: Cody’s the carpenter and Jenn’s the designer.

We also bring strong intuition and perception to the table, which helps us really understand who our clients are and what they want. Our discovery process is thorough because we want to get to the heart of who the founder is and translate that vision into a digital presence that feels true to them.

Of course, building a business together hasn’t been without challenges. As “couplepreneurs,” we had to learn early on to treat each other like business partners, not just spouses. That meant setting clear expectations with our clients and with each other. There were definitely moments where our communication wasn’t on par, but like any couples therapist will tell you, if you practice active listening, you can navigate even the messy stuff and come out stronger on the other side.

What we want founders to know is that your dream business and brand really is possible, and it starts with your digital presence. Your website is the first impression future clients will have, and if you aren’t treating it like your prime salesperson, you’ll stay stuck in a cycle of website shame and missed opportunities. We help break that cycle in a way that feels personable, genuine, and chic.

Jenn is a StoryBrand Certified Coach, so we bring a proven model to every project. Our services include fully custom builds, semi-custom builds, brand strategy intensives, and consult sessions. During our custom builds, we even provide photoshoot guidance, because we know brand photos can be a real pain point for founders. This is where Jennifer’s fashion background makes the process not only easier but elevated.

At the end of the day, we want our clients to experience the transformation of moving from a scattered, stressful digital presence to one that reflects who they are, builds confidence, and drives results.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Cody: I would take them to spots that no one knows about out in the mountains or country. We would pack food and cook over a campfire, enjoy nature, and chill.

Jenn: Oh, I would be there tour guide for downtown Fort Collins. I would take them to The Elizabeth Hotel, act like I worked there, giving them the full rundown (because I happen to know it from my own discovery process, ha!). I would take them over to Edison’s ice cream, which is a new fav of mine. I really want to go check out Madre’s restaurant so that would probably be on my list of “let’s go explore this!” adventure.

We would definitely have to go visit Horsetooth if they wanted a light hike and a great photo op.

For coffee shops, we’re heading up either Bindle or Lima Coffee.

I like to cook, so I would definitely cook and have lots of relaxing time chit chatting on the couch or porch.
