Meet Jennifer Call | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Call and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started The Staging Genius because I saw a real need in the market — not everyone can afford traditional staging, but I’ve seen time and again how powerful staging is in helping buyers connect with a space. As a real estate agent myself, I understood just how much of a difference it makes in how quickly a home sells and at what price.
I wanted to create a service that made staging more accessible and budget-friendly without sacrificing style or impact. My goal was to take the guesswork and stress out of preparing a home for sale and offer clients a smarter, more affordable way to present their space in the best possible light.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Staging Genius makes home staging affordable and stylish, helping homeowners sell faster and for more. What sets me apart is my real estate experience combined with a passion for creative design that tells a home’s story. I want people to know that The Staging Genius delivers smart, impactful staging without breaking the bank.
Building the business wasn’t easy — I faced challenges with credibility and logistics — but I stayed focused, learned from mentors, and kept pushing through.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success doesn’t have to happen overnight. It’s something that builds over time if you keep going.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1 – Arrival + RiNo Art District
We’d kick things off in RiNo (my neighborhood!) with street art walks, a coffee from Crema, and dinner at The Woods with a rooftop view. Drinks after at Death & Co for a chill but elevated vibe.
Day 2 – Downtown + Union Station
We’d spend the day exploring Union Station, grabbing brunch at Snooze, and popping into Tattered Cover Bookstore. For dinner, ChoLon for those soup dumplings, then maybe drinks at Cru or The Cooper Lounge upstairs.
Day 3 – Day Trip to Red Rocks + Golden
In the morning, we’d hike around Red Rocks, then head to Golden for lunch by the river and a walk through the charming downtown. Back in the city for a cozy dinner at Root Down.
Day 4 – Boutique Shopping + Cherry Creek
We’d explore Cherry Creek North — local boutiques, art galleries, and a luxe lunch at True Food Kitchen. Maybe a little spa time or a rooftop drink at Halcyon afterward.
Day 5 – Brunch + Museum Day
Start slow with brunch at Lucile’s, then check out the Denver Art Museum or Meow Wolf if they’re feeling bold. Sushi dinner at Uchi to wrap the day.
Day 6 – Local Vibes + Live Music
We’d go casual — maybe a farmers market in South Pearl Street, local shops in Highlands, and tacos from Tacos Tequila Whiskey. End the night with live music at Ophelia’s or Nocturne Jazz.
Day 7 – Chill + Catch-Up
We’d keep it low-key with a coffee walk in City Park, brunch at The Weathervane Cafe, and just hang out and reflect on the week. Maybe grab dessert at Sweet Cooie’s to end on a sweet note.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without learning from my parents and having my sister’s support pushing me to keep going.
I’m also grateful for the mentors and real estate pros who have inspired me along the way. Plus, I’m a big fan of audiobooks and podcasts on business — they’ve helped me grow tremendously.
