Meet Jennifer Majeske | Insurance Agency Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Majeske and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my agency is the personal journey and experience I went through with the passing of my husband this past April. After spending years working remotely and on the corporate side of insurance, my husband becoming fatally ill was a turning point that inspired me to open this agency. Not only did I want to help protect my clients and their families, but one of the main reasons for opening the office was to have the flexibility to be a caretaker for my family. Little did I know that my husband would pass away only a few weeks after signing the lease for our new location. He was never able to see the office open.

My goal is rooted in ensuring that families, like my own, do not have to struggle with financial issues in times of crisis, especially considering the impact of medical debt in America and how it often leads to bankruptcy. Drawing from my personal experience in navigating the complexities of the medical system, I bring valuable knowledge to my clients. I am dedicated to guiding them in choosing the right insurance plans that align with their needs, offering assurance and protection to secure their financial future. This personal journey has not only shaped my agency’s mission but has also fueled my commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those I serve.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is a women-owned and operated firm, a distinction that we take immense pride in. Alongside this, we are dedicated to serving a diverse clientele, ranging from business owners to our Spanish-speaking clients and everyone in between. At the core of our operations is a commitment to creating a safe and trusted space for all individuals who seek our services.

Our primary focus lies in providing comprehensive health insurance solutions for individuals, families, seniors, and businesses. We work closely with Connect for Health Colorado and various insurance carriers to offer health coverage in the state. In addition to health insurance, we extend our services to include a range of insurance products such as life and retirement, home and auto insurance, commercial business coverage, and cybersecurity solutions.

Our approach to client interaction centers around education before sales. We believe it is crucial for our clients to fully understand the products and processes involved in their insurance coverage. By prioritizing transparency and knowledge-sharing, we ensure that our clients are well-informed at every stage, from initial discussions to post-sale support.

The journey to where we are today in the business world has not been without its challenges. Selling insurance is a demanding field that requires diligence and resilience. However, our passion for what we do fuels our determination to overcome obstacles and deliver meaningful impact to our clients. We find joy in the difference we make in our clients’ lives by safeguarding what matters most to them – their well-being and that of their families.

In essence, our brand is built on a foundation of empowerment, inclusivity, and dedicated service. Our story is one of perseverance, growth, and a steadfast commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of our fellow Coloradans.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was visiting, one place we would go is Fish N Beer for some seafood in the landlocked city. We’d explore the city on scooters, checking out the breweries in RiNo. A visit to Meow Wolf or a leisurely stroll through the Botanical Gardens depending on the mood and weather. Sundays in the summer would find us at the Old Pearl Street Farmers Market. For a scenic outdoor excursion, we’d hike to St. Mary’s Glacier or drive through the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge for wildlife sightings. To indulge in fine dining, we’d head to The Wolf’s Tailor, and for a more laid-back meal, The Brutal Poodle would be our pick.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When I reflect on the journey that led me to where I am today, there is one person I want to dedicate my shoutout to – Katie McCaleb. When I made the pivotal decision to open the agency office, I partnered with Katie, who had been a trusted referral partner for property and casualty insurance for the past few years. Our shared passion for helping others, coupled with Katie’s expertise in health insurance – a significant focus area for our agency – laid the foundation for our partnership.

As I transitioned into this new chapter, blending my extensive 20+ years of experience as a business owner with Katie’s 20+ years of expertise working in the medical sector of the hospital system, we knew our collaboration could be a driving force in the competitive insurance industry.

The unforeseen passing of my husband, right at the onset of opening our new location, which tested the immense value of having Katie there to step in and lead the agency while I prioritized being present with my family. This challenging experience underscored the necessity of having a dedicated and reliable partner like Katie by my side.

Today, we have cultivated an exceptional team of brokers and administrative staff to support our agency’s mission. Our agency is honored to be recognized as an official enrollment center with Connect for Health Colorado, and we eagerly anticipate embarking on the upcoming open enrollment season beginning November 1st, propelled by the unwavering commitment of our exceptional team comprising empowered women leaders. The milestone of being a women-owned and operated agency in the predominantly male-dominated insurance industry is a source of immense pride for us.
