Meet Jeremy Reeves | Sound and Reiki practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Reeves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
JADE is our family, Jeremy, Aaren, Denise and Evan. We were filling out Christmas cards years ago and JADE came out of it. We got into energy work because we were in a crystal shop nine years ago and heard a massive crystal singing bowl. Jeremy became interested in sound healing and everyone received Reiki training. It all kind of unfolded in its own unique way. Aaren designed the website, social media and business cards. We all collaborated to create it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think I have always been sensitive to sound and vibrations. My grandfather and uncle both played drums at Eiltch Gardens in Denver. My journey with sound has been slow and steady with plenty of obstacles along the way. I think knowing my “why” has been a reset button. Sound healing has been extremely helpful for me in relief of pain and discomfort. My suggestion to anyone starting out, give yourself some time and space to practice and evolve, playing less and playing quieter.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Life is Golden, in Colorado. My favorite place, maybe of all is Red Rocks. To play there, exercise or see a show, hard to find much better. We are really blessed we don’t have to leave our small town. There are many wonderful mom and pop shops and restaurants, beautiful hiking and biking trails. Along clear creek, you can see kayaking, hang-gliding and a vibrant outdoor environment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Robin Berry and Debi Halibur were my first introduction to sound and convinced me to attend the Vibrational Sound Association (VSA). From there my teacher Ericka Franzen helped with ongoing education. The Facebook group art and science of sound healing has been extremely helpful. We will be forever grateful to our first Reiki teacher Joanne Hibbert. I am continuing my Reiki journey with Bruce Taylor and the Facebook page.
