We had the good fortune of connecting with Jillian Lee Antinora and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jillian Lee, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
While my kids were young, I have 6 kids ages 7 to 17, I had to be at home most of the time. I started my Real Estate Brokerage in 2016, right after the birth of my youngest child. I was working with my husband, so we were able to balance the work and kids together. I also started learning the guitar that year, planning on writing songs and developing my music so I could perform in the future. I really like having my own business and being able to work my schedule so that I can meet my client’s needs but still be with my kids. It was harder to juggle when they weren’t all in school. Now that they are all in school and my oldest can help with driving, it is much easier. I can work during the day, on both real estate and music, and pick kids up from school, get them to activities and still do showings and play music a night or two each week. My husband is now with a commercial real estate brokerage and I run Antinora Real Estate on my own. I have released two albums, one in 2021 and one in 2022, and am starting to book live shows. It has taken consistently pushing forward on all fronts, while still resting and enjoying time with my family. I think when our priorities are straight, we can do all the things we want to do, we just have to organize our time well and communicate well with our family.

What should our readers know about your business?
I would like this to show my Real Estate Brokerage, Antinora Real Estate and my music business, Jillian Lee Antinora Music. I run my own real estate brokerage, Antinora Real Estate. I specialize in Luxury Homes. I really love working with people to find their dream homes, and I love helping owners prepare their homes for listing. I enjoy figuring out pricing and negotiating deals where everyone is happy at the end. I feel very fortunate to be in the real estate business. I have learned how to manage my time well and how to be a better agent. Clear communication is key, I am always working to make transactions smoother for my clients.

I started my music business in 2021 and am thrilled about it! I worked professionally in musical theatre for about 10 years before starting my family and I am happy to start performing again. I am especially happy to be performing my own songs. I love learning how to write songs that connect with people and their own stories, and also how to perform those songs in a way that draws people in.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them straight to Old Town Fort Collins and have brunch at Snooze before walking around Old Town and enjoying the shops and then walking down Mountain Ave. Then back to the house for a little rest. We would go to Sunset Lounge for cocktails, then dinner at The Emporium and listen to music at The Magic Rat.

Next day, time to enjoy the foothills! Hike Devil’s Backbone and bring a picnic of Subway sandwiches ( I also own the Subway restaurant in the Walmart in North Fort Collins :)) Quiet night of games and stargazing at home,

Pickleball at City Park! Then take the trolly to Old Town and get lunch at Austin’s and ice cream at Walrus.
In the evening we would go to Holiday Twin for a movie.

We have a sailboat at Carter Lake, so we would go for for the day, sailing and paddle boarding, stay the night on the boat and grill tuna steaks, then wake up and enjoy another day on the water…so fun!!!

Next day, walk around Spring Creek Gardens and the Spring Creek Trail, lunch at The Crown Pub in Old Town and watch an Eagle’s game at the Budweiser Center.

Final day, Have fun playing in the Poudre River park area, Dinner at The Rio then salsa dancing upstairs from the Rio in the Agave Room with FoCo Salsa.
