Throughout my business and career in the cannabis industry, the most important lesson that stands out is the conscious effort I’ve made to ensure I have not burned any bridges. Tooting my own horn here a bit, I find that there are some parallels between building my business, my work in cannabis, and my place on a championship tennis team here in Colorado.

Tennis, like the cannabis industry, demands a competitive mindset. Both arenas require a relentless drive to excel, a hunger to stay ahead of the curve, and a willingness to put in the hard work necessary to achieve success. Just as I have strived to outperform opponents on the tennis court, I have similarly sought to surpass competitors in the cannabis consulting landscape. This competitive spirit has propelled me to continually innovate, provide exceptional services, and stay at the forefront of industry trends and developments.

Strategy plays a critical role in both tennis and business. The recent victory in the State of Colorado USTA Mixed Doubles Championship not only symbolizes my success in tennis but also reflects the competitive spirit and drive that propel me forward in the cannabis industry. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I fell in love with the Denver-Boulder area over a decade ago when I came to Boulder to go to the University of Colorado, and to this day have never left! I love showing new folks around our beautiful area here. It’d be common to explore downtown Denver, visit the iconic Union Station and take a stroll along the lively 16th Street Mall. For a taste of local history, a visit to the Denver Art Museum and the Colorado State Capitol is a must. I would also lead them to the picturesque Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, known for its stunning rock formations and hosting world-class concerts. Afterward, we’d take a scenic drive to my charming mountain town of Boulder. Here, we can explore the beautiful Pearl Street Mall and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking in the Flatirons. Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes, hike scenic trails, and keep an eye out for wildlife all along the way.

One of my favorite towns in Colorado is Estes Park. We’d wrap up the day with a visit there, where we can stroll through its charming downtown and indulge in some delicious local cuisine. Throughout the visit, we would be sure to sample Colorado’s craft beer scene, try some of the city’s renowned restaurants serving a diverse range of cuisines, and frequent the many dispensaries around the state!
