We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordyn Koroneos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordyn, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have always been a creative. Growing up, I loved everything to do with art, I was always drawing, taking pictures, or looking for ways to better enhance my artistic abilities. I decided to pursue an artistic career because I am passionate about it and believe in the work I do. As a photographer, I have made it my job to provide beautiful captures for families to enjoy for the rest of their lives. I love being able to play a part in that and use my creative abilities to give these portraits to others.

I have also been very lucky to be able to travel the world and capture the beauty all around us. I have been to over 10 countries and had a camera at my side for each of those adventures. Showing off the elegance of our world has become another passion of mine.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most proud of the charity work I have done throughout my photography career. I have been able to use my artistic abilities to give back to those in need and I believe it sets me apart from others. I was lucky to be given a lot of opportunities to travel the world and work with many different non-profits to help produce videos and provide them pictures of the amazing work they do. Those were the best experiences of my life and I am very proud of the work I did and am excited about any future travel opportunities.

I am also very proud of the work I have captured for over hundreds of families throughout my career. When I am not traveling, I am photographing portraits of families, weddings, and individuals. I have seen children grow up throughout the years, and it’s an incredible feeling being able to be a part of their lives and give their families pictures that they will treasure for years to come.

I had challenges along the way of becoming a photographer, but I have learned that the passion never fades. Even if when I had setbacks, I knew that will always love photography and that has always kept me going through hard times.

I’ve learned many lessons along the way, the biggest one came from a mentor of mine and she would say, “for every great destination, there is a journey.” I think of her words quite often and the affect they have had on me personally. I believe that you need to keep going and do the work because what happens after that is incredible and worth the struggles and hard work it took to get there.

I want the world to know that as an artist, we have been given an incredible gift. With these artistic abilities, I feel like it is necessary to find a way to use our talents to give back to others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are SO many great spots here in Colorado to explore! I am one who likes adventure, so I would take them to a few of our beautiful National Parks such as Rocky Mountain or Garden of the Gods.

After exploring the beautiful outdoors, I would head over to RiNo to check out the incredible street art and grab a drink at Improper City (they have incredible margs!) then I would grab dinner and enjoy many dumplings at Zoe Ma Ma’s.

There are so many fun places to explore up in the mountains or in Denver, but if you’re looking for something a bit more out of the box, I would suggest catching a concert at Gothic Theater (once they open back up from COVID). Their shows are smaller and more intimate and I have met many artists after the show at that venue!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has always been my biggest cheerleaders. They have always stood by my side and supported me throughout my photography journey. I started at a very young age and took my first international trip without them at age 17. I am sure that made my family a bit nervous, but their support and love has kept me traveling and photographing in different countries ever since.
